I just saw on the CRASH-B web site that Paul F has signed up to compete at the WIRC. It will be a historic Supercanoa/RowPro moment in that it will be one of only a few times in our lifetime that we will compete in the same age group.

Some more good news: I also get to compete against Andreas. Hurray for me.

Just to add . . .

It appears that the race will be in the afteroon as opposed to the morning as it was in 2004.

22 13:30 Senior Women/Men
23 13:45 Senior Men

I can't tell you how much I appreciate that in light of there is a 3-hour time zone difference between California and Boston.

Hope to catch up with you all at a future Crash-B and also hopefully race you online in a Rowpro race. I expect a sub 6:20 from you because it won't come any easier when you get to Paul's age.

Rockin Roland

Times like that are really good for the soul.

Thanks for the encouragement. I have been rowing at a gym that has Model D ergometers. I can tell the difference in the feel between the D's at the gym and my Model C, which I have at my house. I really took care of my Model C over the past 4 1/2 years, but like everything, it is has worn down, particularily the shock cord and maybe the rollers, but it is not bad. The atmosphere at the gym is real positive and helps me get through sessions when I am really sleepy or exhausted.

Later,
Thomas
