I didn't say there's only a month left *for* sharpening, I said that sharpening only has a month left to run. As you know, everyone sharpens in about the same way for about the same effect. In your case, as you've said yourself many times, this takes about a month or a little more. You've now been sharpening for over a week, so in about 3 weeks time sharpening will have run its course for you. My anaerobic threshold is 172 bpm.
Top-end UT2 is 145 bpm.
Also, you continually ignore stroke volume when you compare to others.
Keep this about you and keep it to the facts. Fact is that working hard, sweating freely and doing a pace that you wouldn't want to do for 90 minutes your HR leveled at 161, a more realistic "estimate' of your AT.
Get over it, you like the rest of us are aging!

60min is done right at your anaerobic threshold.
Top-end UT1.
BTW, last fall, early on, in November, I was doing 100min stepping routines where my HR was in the 170s for the last 30min.

OTErg, Mike and I row the same paces at the same HRs.
For instance, we both row 1:48 pace OTErg with a HR of around 150 bpm.
But Mike's maxHR is 163 bpm; mine is 190 bpm.
Pretty important difference, no?
Mike's anaerobic threshold is 145 bpm. So 150 bpm is AT.
My anaerobic threshold is 172 bpm. So AT is 175 bpm.

Ranger, it's a bit unclear to me but I think you're in full sharpening mode now. You've said all along that once you're into full sharpening mode you'll be posting workout details left and right.
You name all the workouts and distance trials and specific times that must be hit to achieve your goals, but then choose not to do the workouts that you must do to achieve your goals. Not what most rational people would consider solid preparation but I'm sure you have your reasons.
Are you not in full sharpening mode? Or are you in full sharpening mode without doing measurable workouts? Or are you doing measurable workouts in full sharpening mode but just not posting the data here?
I know the answer, and know you will not post a workout here in the next 7 weeks, just hoping to get your clarification on why.
