Yeah like I said above, any distance rows at sub 2:00 really take it out of you.

As this challange is really only about metres rowed a few extra minutes of rowing to get the same distance makes it easier the next day for a repeat performance.

Rowing on my own here most of the time as well because as soon as you row with someone else you stand on the gas and your intended pace goes out the window !

1st place on out team is way out rowing over 30Km a day, must be taking her at least 2.5hrs, pretty impressive stuff.

Day 8.

The usual 15K and a 5K at a "CD" pace.

Wow this is starting to get quite time consuming let alone finding the energy to do it on a daily basis.

May as well start rowing a HM every day now. Currently in 4th place on the team, with RowPro now also coming 4th in the Team standings.Great stuff and very motivating.

Day 9.

Non stop HM at 2:05.9 pace at 20 spm with an average HR of 142

Body is starting to protest. HR is not really the problem, I'm just not used to the "Seat time" of nearly 90 minutes. Hands also requiring some tape on a couple of fingers. It's going to be interesting tomorrow. 3rd in the team with the team standing in 4th place.

Come on RowPro Online !

Day 10.

HM non stop at 2:04.8 pace 20spm with 140 average HR.

Nice. Casual pace trying different things to maintain the pace but drop the HR. Relaxing the arms during the initial part of the drive seems to make a difference, that and entering a trance like state and just let the mind drift...

Will try and keep this up and maybe it's good enough for a 2nd place finish in the team ?

Yeah there is some BS going on with some individuals. Really all the results should be uploads with IND_V or it's pretty worthless as a competition if you can just put in manual entries. Am rowining all of my meters "Online" with Rowpro so the results are available to everyone for the last few days, perhaps as the Team is called "RowPro Online" everyone entered in the RowPro team should be doing all their rows online then uploading the valid RowPro file to the C2 Log.I can see Horst rowing his 24Km every day but thats about it.

Day 11.

Another HM at 2:05.4 20SPM at 143 HR

Started to see some nasty high HR numbers despite the low rate rowing, maybe I didn't sleep that well last night. The last few Km's started to hit the legs and I thought i was going to cramp. It's a roller coaster ride from one day to the next.

Cheers mate, saw you online with another couple of guys. You were already rowing by the time I logged on.

I'm tempted to drop back to a 15Km row but I'm not sure it's going to be enough to keep me in 2nd place in the team.

Some people don't post daily. They stack up a big load of meters over several days and then post them all at once.

Some of the total meters are WAY too high as far as I'm concerned.

If you work out a daily average then some people are rowing well over a FM every day without breaks from one day to the next, if they had a break for a day all of a sudden they would need to row 100Km to make up for it !...yeah...right !

Personally I don't beleive it if you look at the profiles of those concerned. You could argue they are rowing at a very slow pace, however start looking at the actual time it would take to row some of these distances at say 2:15 or 2:30 or even slower pace it becomes doubtful. As a one off maybe but every day day without breaks ? Yes there are a few people doing this but they have a history of doing it. You cannot simply just jump on an Erg for 5-6 hours a day and row 10x the distance you were doing on a daily basis before the challange.

Anyway i you look at the profiles and the online C2 log results for the season and also use the pace predictor some holes start to appear in their Fall Challenge results.

Enough said, anyway got to hit the Erg soon again myself...got a stack of those HM certificates building up !

This is great training for a FM a week or so after this Challenge ends. Rowing the HM at my FM pace.

I have never looked into that in detail, Carl, so I haven't seen that side of it. Unfortunate. I wonder who they think they are kidding other than themselves. In any case, I just felt that I should point out in that posting that one big day is not necessarily a false report - for the reason I stated. But you are quite right, an excessive daily average over the whole period since the challenge began is a different matter.

I haven't been involved with the challenges myself other than the January one with my old rowing club's virtual team, so I don't feel any personal affront from those who might be cheating, but it is certainly a sad state of affairs that some feel the need to do that.

Day 12.

 Tip of the day...open the window, more fresh air lowers your HR !

HM non-stop at 2:04.9 pace only 18spm with a 142 average HR.

Nice row, but funny how every day something different hurts at the end ! A couple of my fingers look like they have been caught in a shreader.

This has to be the max distance for me, tempted to join Horst in his daily 24Km row but he's way too fast for me as well.

Slipped into second place and also completed my 2 million lifetime meters with this row.

Day 13.

Another HM at 2:05.4 pace 19spm with a 143 average HR.

This is definately my maximum daily distance with no days off for recovery.

Setup the day 14 HM on RowPro at 21:00 GMT if anyone wants to join me. It's a looooong row on my own.

RowPro Online are fighting for third place with the Luna-Tics.
