Sorry Guys,

Still have a nasty cold. I rowed some distances but times were very slow. So I don't row coming Sunday. I hope next week will be better.

Hennie

Roland,
Andreas checked in, so how about racing together the delay based on 20:10.5? If you let me know, I can post the delay times, so that everyone knows his delay before we start Sunday.

Hennie,
Sorry to hear about the nasty cold. Hopefully, we see you next week.

Jaap

Looks like it's that time of year again in the northern hemisphere for colds, just like it's hayfever season now in the southern hemisphere.

Rockin Roland

This morning we had again a lot of problems to get the scheduled races going. The same happens each tuesday and thursday with Nigels OR races. In all cases, the QR races is the solution. These always run without a problem.

Gustav (sb 22:15) starts the race, Pieter (sb 21:27.5) waits 47 seconds. Andreas, Roland and myself start together at 2:04 after Gustav. This is based on Andreas' SB which is 20:10.5. See you tomorrow,

Jaap

There seems to be a group of rowers here that have problems with scheduled races much of the time. Perhaps we could get together sometime and several short races just to see if we can see some kind of pattern to this problem. Anybody willing to try it. For example Pieter and I did a 12K interval workout on Thursday. I was his boat gray out and come back at least half a dozen times during the workout. Not sure if it was his or my problem since there were only 2 of us but certainly indicating some type of connection problem. Perhaps we should start a new thread to discuss this but I am out of town for the rest of the weekend.

Frank

One that that might be worth checking out is if the admin checks in first.

Normally on a Tuesday/Thursday some of the rowers are already checked in before me and recently it has failed to connect to anyone in the SR. I then create a QR ( so I am first to be checked in ) and it works fine everytime.

Frank: I am taking part in a 100km team race next weekend so would you mind if I did the 6k race on Thursday night ? Please feel free to say no if you want to keep it to the weekend as I don't want to mess it around.

Cheers.

Nigel

Hi,
The results are:

CODE

Time Delay Net Time
Pieter de Jong 21:54.6 0:47 21:07.6
Gustav Smook 22:05.5 0:00 22:05.5
Jaap Roosma 22:27.9 2:04 20:23.9
Andreas J.J. van Tonder 22:34.3 2:04 20:30.3
Roland Baltutis 22:41.3 2:04 20:37.3

The 2:04 delay for Roland and myself is based on Andreas' fast 20:10.5 SB and not on our own SB's (although I wish it was ). Four SB's, at least one PB (Congratulations Pieter 21:07.6). I rowed exactly the same time as my 2005 PB (20:23.9). Next week, a PB should be possible for me if I don't dig that deep in a 3x2000 the day before. Yesterday, the HF in the 3x2000m was around 180 the last 500m in each session.
I hope we will see some firework from Roland and Andreas next week as well.

Jaap
