If I were Byron, the reply would be silence. The time at the end of the race is what counts, not
the forecast. Not that you care, but my first head race was into a 30kt headwind - my pace was
not close to what I had hoped/expected, but just fine relative to the competition.
All the best for fun and speed in your first head race. Glad you are getting out and mixing it
up on the water.
Cheers. Patrick.
I have been rowing OTW for seven years.
So I have been mixing it up for quite some time.
Yea, you're right.
I don't care what Byron thinks.
If he could row decently himself, sure, then I might be interested.
But, really.
He still has a lot to learn himself.
So, what other course of action but silence is a reasonable response for him?
He is just a beginner, too.
He is in no position to give anyone advice about their rowing.
We're all in the same boat, if you know what I mean.
He should learn to row first before he presumes to be a coach.
Perhaps he should first do that 20:00 5K OTW, just to show he knows what he is doing.
Then I am sure that quite a few people might want to listen to him.
As far as I can tell, watching him row, he needs to get about 30 seconds per 500m to get anywhere near that.
