Hey, Minnie, I love your newest team profile pic.

Welcome to the team, Bruce!

My spider bite is getting better. We have deduced it was most likely a Hobo spider. We have a lot of them in this area, and they get more aggressive in Aug. Pest exterminator is coming tomorrow morning

Thanks to all for the welcome!

I'm just getting back into rowing after having knee surgery earlier this year. I'm looking forward to the additional team challenges besides the individual ones. Right now I'm on track for the Dog Days challenge. The things I'll do for a t-shirt...

There is that certain appeal of "you can't get this t-shirt unless you earn it" - and the challenges make us all a bit crazier! It's all for good exercise, good health and fun.

ImageWhoa, we must have a LOT of dog lovers! August Dog Meters are accelerating our journey to the moon! The team's been rowing over 200K meters each day for the last five days! Apparently August is hobo spider mating time, and they travel in pairs and are more aggressive - with a very nasty bite - sounds like you were lucky, Kristine! Looks like they are funnel web spiders....isn't that what Baz said he found in his rowing area?! Aaack. Hope you are feeling better Kristine!

Woohoo! We are putting some meters on the boards of August!! Getting ready for the Fall Rowing Challenge ....

Yes, I hope you're feeling better, Kristine. I saw a black widow on the porch last week, and ran into the house, screaming like a little girl! My gallant Mr. went right out and smushed it ... I guess he wasn't willing to listen to my drama, while waiting for the pest control people.

Talking of my Mr. ... we all have things we like to do while rowing, but I would never have thought of this one. AJ has constructed a clipboard contraption, which he jerry-rigs to the C2 monitor ... then attaches Sudoku puzzles he's downloaded from the internet, and works on them while he's rowing. I wondered how he could row and write at the same time ... but, he's an engineer, so that explains everything. (And, the puzzles apparently keeps him on the erg much longer each day!)

Computer problem the last couple of days...so a couple of updates today!!

Seems I've missed some news, congrats to the milestones, and watch out for those spiders. I despatched a 'small' funnel web last weekend that was in the garage. We are probably heading into mating season, everyhthing mates in Spring so they probably do as well.......

Tomo has a sprained ankle so no rugby or athletics for him this week!!

Be good, and if you can't..be careful... :)

Cheers BBB
