Actually BG - it'd be better for our city if the Celtics won, we can't afford the parade! Also there may not be as much rioting.

Post by Kona2 » June 18th, 2010, 10:15 am

Rowing in shark-filled virtual waters, K2 gets some meters ahead while listening to the Rockies game....it's a swing and a miss, another double-play...and Jimenez and the Rockies retire the side...!

Summer Solstice Row...it's on Monday! Summer sweeps....they're every day you row 5K or more! Like Gina says, can't win if you don't row it!

Season meters as of 48/365 = 8,792,061 m

Total meters on the day = 149,264 m

Oars in space (participation) = 25 percent! :D

MILESTONES...Bragging Rights...Celebrations:

400K Jim

Image Dan earns another half moon with 21,620 m on the day
Image Will S meters closer to the ONE Million Meter Mark with a half moon and 21,100 m posted
Image Minnie rows another half marathon...

ONE Million Meter Watch:

Will S with (28,900 m) to go! Red zone alert!

And congratulations, everyone - you made it through the week! And thanks for all the meters, too!

AJ 4,175 m
David M 5,000 m
Peter G 7,000 m
K2 7,186 m
Steven L 7,206 m
Jim 11,552 m
Rodrigo 12,746 m
Baz 14,152 m
Kenneth G 16,430 m
Chris 21,097 m
Will S 21,100 m
Dan 21,620 m

OK, Danno - so who wins the US Open ?? No hedging your bets (Celtics in 6, Lakers in 7)....who are the top 2 finishers going to be?

Kona2 - I agree. Entirely too many double plays. The Twins lead in that category this year. And you forgot that in the 6th when there was a glimmer of hope for a Twins rally, my guy got picked off the next play after stealing second base, and just crushed any momentum.

Mystery today. I was certain I had entered yesterday's rowing meters, but a check on my log shows they weren't there. Maybe another senior moment? Anyway tomorrows report will show 2 days of rowing for me.

Been getting out several evenings a week canoeing with my partner to get the paddling muscles and hands toughened in for our upcoming trip. Last outing I was very pleased, as we did four miles of lake paddling in 54 minutes, roughly 4.4 mph. That's a late in the season time for us in that particular tripping canoe. Moose

Barbie,
Are you saying I am bad luck? If so I might have to start rooting for the BoSox!

danno

PS Love ya even if you root for the Red Sox! I really am a Celtic fan since Larry Bird went to my college and was a good friend of my father.

Image Crew celebrates Will S's first million meters of the season - meets at The Sham Rock, a crew favorite since its discovery during March Madness!!

Image Monday, June 21st - virtual oars at the ready! It's time for the Summmmmmmmrrrr Solstice row! Remember - you don't have to row all 21,000 m at one sitting - you just need to row them in a 24 hour period. You can do it! Dreaming of a 400K LunaTics day!!!

Season meters as of 49/365 = 8,928,558 m

Total meters on the day = 136,497 m

Oars in space (participation) = 19 percent

Image Minnie, our LunaTic movie maven, blasts through another half marathon

And thanks to all today's LunaTics for all the kinds of meters - fabulous each and every one!

AJ 4,086 m (you know, if you add about 5 more minutes to your daily rowing session, you'll be entered in the Summer Sweeps contest every time you row....because it will be a 5K....wait! you're passing me! That's like aiding and abetting!)
Steven L 7,183 m
Jim 10,000 m
