No, 2:50.

I ran 5:20 pace for 8 miles.

I could do 10 x a mile @ 5:00 on the track.

Not sure that's "jogging."

Indeed pispoor compared to real runners. 2.50 is very , very average, nothing wrong with in but that makes you no marathon runner. A jogger nothing more or less. Good to see that see some light in the cave after all.

Any news about your new Fluid? Is it up for resale yet?
How many strokes at sub 1:50 pace can you string together in a row w/o a break?
Funny how it won't respond to your "perfect stroke" :P :!:

BTW : there are links to event times and athlete bios if you just click on highlighted features on this page.

For instance: If you click on LW1x you'll find Marit van Eupen's string of 7 victories. THen click on the individual events. Then click on her name and you'll find a complete bio....
Impressive stuff!

After you're done looking here, why not write Thomas Poulsen a note to explain how lucky he is to be almost as good as you are?

My new Fluid has been done for quite a while.

I have had trouble getting a rack for my new van, though, so I haven't been able to drive up to London, ONT, to get it.

Fluidesign is delivering it to Wyandotte (South of Detroit), but on their schedule.

No word yet.

My dealer finally got a rack for my car on Tuesday. It is being put on today (together with a hitch and wiring for a trailer).

No, 2:50 for a FM is not a jog, nor is 5:20 pace for 8 miles.

Sure, these are average times among serious runners, but not at all a jog.

More 1:47 @ 24 spm this morning.

123 df.

Great training, especially for technical discipline.

To reach my goals, I will have to do it continuously for two hours.

80% HRR (160 bpm), steady state.

You talk as though being able to run is a liability for a rower.

Not at all.

My guess is that if you took the top ten or so 30s lwt ergers at the moment, none of them could run 8 miles at 5:20 pace or a FM at 2:50.

Eskild certainly couldn't.

Henry--

I was not just a runner.

I also was a serious skater, swimmer, and caneoist (for about 10 years each)--among other things (various team games: basketball, football, baseball, tennis).

When it comes to rowing, these various sports interests and histories of participation are not liabilities.

They are assets.

What?

Absurd.

What you mean is that I have never been an elite marathon runner.

Sure.

But I have run about 40 marathons, at quite a bit faster than a jog.

I ran 10 miles a day for 25 years.

For an elite veteran rower, this is an asset, not a liability.

2.50 is 46 minutes above the wr, that is 37% slower. Compared to your 2k pb 143 seconds. 6.28 versus 8.51

Henry--

All of this is pretty funny coming from you.

You 2K is just a "jog."

What are you up to here?

Odd.
