That looks like a real back country adventure BAZzy! We will request a short trip report and maybe a few photos from that trip! And first class high rise for accomodations! Seeing the land rover in that setting I couldn't help but think about the scene in the 1980's movie, The God's Must Be Crazy, with the rover winching itself up into a tree while the operator was fumbling about while distracted by a fair lady.

And here we are 24/25 degrees (C) in Mid Autumn...not that I am wishing for colder! One thing is for sure though, I won't be needing to shovel snow..........even in the depths of winter!!

But I hope it warms up for you soon....BBB

I've decided to try the UK website's training plan to improve on my 2K time. I did a test last week and I'm now ranked #1 in my age group...row a ranked piece early in the season to claim the top spot! The plan has you row lots of meters at an aerobic pace for the first 6 weeks and then more intervals at the anaerobic pace. I'm taking it week by week...at least it's a plan.

ImageImageImage With the return of our music maven G-l-o-r-i-a, we now have 35 crew in the boat. Our logbook reflects 36 - it appears that while working on his golf swing in the space lab, our man from Belgium created a clone....so now we have Bart and clone of Bart. Astrogator chooses to include the Bart with most meters rowed (of course!), but does not know whether clone of Bart's numbers are included in primary Bart....so confusing, especially since primary Bart has left the clone in a different city....

Meanwhile, NASA continues to watch Eyjafjallajokull's ash plume stream into Atlantic....this concerns our mouse Minnie as she tries to get back to rejoin the team....AJ, on the other hand, says "just one more art museum!"

Image Wowzer.....Madame Zoltana sees TWO millon meters in our future....our very NEAR future....

Re: KUDOS to the team!!!

Post by Kona2 » May 13th, 2010, 11:46 am

Just noticed this posting by Concept2 today - we did finish in fifth place overall with 109 team members and 115.45 MM meters ! Woohoo and hooyah!! Do a little dance, row a lotta meters....
Once a team member chooses to either go on as an individual or changes teams, it impacts our numbers for the year - which is why we try to grab those numbers on the last day so we have an accurate tally.
