LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
4 MM Meters! Hooyah!
Woohoo! Congratulations, Bazzy, on achieving a FOUR million meter season! We wish you many, many more!!
Full Marathon
Woohoo and hooyah! It's a FULL moon for Bart! Congratulations on completing a full moon for the Global Marathon Challenge!
Bart's probably hoping that the skies will clear of volcanic ash over Belgium....golf ball visibility is low....
All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 4.20.10
Photo sent from G-l-o-r-i-a's helmet cam....we haven't received communications from Tony or Wild Bill, but we did pick up some static over the Nevada-Utah border...
Full moons, half moons, fireworks everywhere! There's still time to make your goals and cheer your teammates onward! Take a look at the million meter watch portion of this communication! Ted, Moose, Kenneth G, Peter G, AJ and Kristine are all in the mix headed for their million(s) meter milestones. Gina's only 25K off her challenge to be on the 5K a day honor board! Lots of good things happening!
Wowzer, mates! Another million meters....means another 0.2 percent closer to the moon! How about 115 MM meters for the end of season? I think that will put us right at 75 percent of the way to the moon.
Season meters as of 355/365 = 113,190,238 m
Total meters on the day = 251,191 m
Oars in space (participation) = 19 percent
MILESTONES....Bragging Rights.....Celebrations:

Congrats!
BAZzy - Congratulations on Rowing 4 Million Meters This Season! You probably spent more time on the erg than you did on the surf ski, and I'm sure it was indeed cross training time well spent for you.
Dan - Don't overdo it on that newly healed wing of yours. Did you row with arms and then with just the harness for 13K?
Kona2 - I have to make the last days of the rowing year difficult on myself. I rowed a little extra today to earn my certificate and then I've got some out of town family matters and an outdoor spring exposition to attend the next 4 days. I strongly suspect no rowing for me until Monday.

Re: Congrats!
That was a two day accumulation of meters and I rowed with arms and legs. It is hard not to over due. BTW congratulations on your 4 Million for the year.DuluthMoose wrote:BAZzy - Congratulations on Rowing 4 Million Meters This Season! Re: 4 MM Meters! Hooyah!
Thanks boys and girls....and yes Moose, unfortunately, more time on the ERG and not enough on the surf ski and ahead of my walk in September that is likely to remain the case....cheers BBBKona2 wrote:

Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
Wooo Hooo to Bazzy and Bart on the milestones!
And Minnie Mouse, 250 is Very Impressive!
I'm keeping my eyeball on the calendar, and have a few movies lined up to finish the season with to make that 1 mil., but the toll of the full marathon on my toe-sies is just too much to bear.

or days left in the 2010 rowing year...depending upon which side of the date line you're on!
The meters we report are only part of the team stories....those numeric goals are just a fun way to motivate ourselves to get our exercise....a steady part of our days! Whether you're an occasional (in cycling we might call this recreational) rower or a megameter rowing rock star...thanks for being a LunaTic team member. You never know when the stories that are behind your meters are going to provide the inspiration needed by another team member (and sometimes we are inspired by those who aren't officially LunaTics - brotherjim and PJM of the TimbukToo team come to mind). Keep sharing your stories - btw, that was really cool to hear that Barbara ran the Boston Marathon with LunaTics written on her arm ! I'll have to try that for the next big bike ride!!

And Minnie, our meter maven, has lost a meter somewhere.....she reports 21,096 meters....and after 250 half marathons, I'm sure that she knows just exactly how long those half marathons are! What say you, Minnie, about the mysterious missing meter?
