Total meters rowed in the 2010 WRC = 11,804,252 m

We had a 94 percent participation rate among those who signed up for the challenge - and then weren't able to contribute after all. That's excellent! Our usual rate (and I suspect a rate that's true for many teams) is about 10 to 12 percent for these team challenges. So, if you signed up, and couldn't do what you wanted to do....wowzer, mates, you're in luck ... I'm sure there's another challenge around the corner!

Whoa....first time in weeks the LunaTics can cruise along in ergs without the pressure of a challenge (except for those self-imposed challenges!) We're on meteor watch as we get closer to the Leonids.....rumor has it that that meteor shower will be spectacular on the 22nd!

Right you are Kona2 and I'm getting out on the water some now. I was out this afternoon in a stiff 20 mph wind and waves on a small lake with a guy who wanted to try out my various types of paddles with his solo canoe as a comparison to his paddle. So I played the role of teacher and I think he was enlightened today. It was a great day to discover how much control each type of paddle gives a paddler, with the tradeoff usually against speed and/or higher cadence. But the water is still dangerously cold here and most every day is windy. The water really needs to warm up or the wind die down for serious solo paddling.

Hello, Lunies, and Kudos and congratatulations all around! There's a little town nearby named Lee; the Lee City motto, as posted at the city limits, is "Little, but Proud". That's us, and mighty proud it is I am to be a Luna-tic.
THREE Million Meter Watch:

Oh yeah, I will drag my aching glutes across that 3MM line before April 30th, starting with a FM tomorrow...After that, we sail!
Slow and Steady is my pace, so it seems,
Slow and Steady wins the race, in my dreams.
