Sweat in your eyes
Sweat in your eyes
Ok this seems like a dumb question, but I'm asking in case anyone has some creative solutions. What do you guys use to keep the sweat from running all over year head? For some reason this year I've started sweating more from the top of my head and it gets really annoying during a test piece when it runs into your eye. I guess the traditional solution would be a headband or hat, but wearing a hat during a piece just seems completely uncomfortable, leaving the headband the only other option.
A cbreeze would probably be nice here but I haven't been able to convince my fancy gym to put one of those things on the fan enclosure

Re: Sweat in your eyes
I have a C-Breeze, I carry it in my rucksack along with my gym kit. I take it into the gym, put if on the rower before I start, set the drag, row then when I'm finished grab it and take it with me. It takes less than 5 minutes to mount it. Best GBP£20 (USD $35) I've ever spent for rowing.lidocaine wrote:A cbreeze would probably be nice here but I haven't been able to convince my fancy gym to put one of those things on the fan enclosure
I'm doing a marathon (42,195) race on 11th April, I'll take my C-Breeze with me for that event.
Re: Sweat in your eyes
I use both a C-Breeze and a sweat band.

Re: Sweat in your eyes
Bandana but I turn it into a sweat band.
Fold across to form a triangle then fold/roll from the top of the triangle to form a band. Tie the ends behind your head.
C-Breeze & Cycle Gloves.
Mine is saturated after a 30 minute row. Must have as my sweat stings my eyes and is a major distraction otherwise.

Re: Sweat in your eyes
When I've had enough of sweat in my eyes, holes in my hands, sore bum, aches all over, early morning glare in my eyes and in some cases even empty stomach, I go ashore or get off and have a shower. Never fails, except for the belly.

Agreed, me 2.Cyclist2 wrote:Headband for my bald head, cold garage for the rest of me.
Except I would subsitute 'bald' for 'balding', in my case.
However I row in my garage, far away from any other gym user!

Sweatband on head/forehead (Nike & Adidas make the 2" types that I prefer), long wrist sweatbands on the wrist/forearms, Vornado fan on high a few feet away aimed at my face. Have used this system for years. Will probably look into a sea breeze device at some point too. Montanaandy
