Well, in terms of my base (my weight, my endurance, my aerobic capacity, my efficiency, my effectiveness, my training volume, etc.), I am capable of something pretty close to 6:16, I think. I'll post times for some pieces that demonstrate this. The best and easiest row for me that would do this, I think, would be 60min @ 1:44.
Rich: just to be clear, are you saying that you will be posting a screen shot of you doing 17,307meters in 60 min (an average pace of 1:44)?
just yes or no, not "should", or "predicts whatever". yes or no.
Yes.

Would it be possible to confirm the date and time you will be posting that screenshot? I'd like to come back then.

You believe that you can row 17,307 meters in 60min (1:44 pace), when you cant row 2000 meters in 7 minutes (1:45 pace)
interesting belief... an "inverted pace/meter table", you alone appear to the only human being that goes faster as the distances increases.
Do you see any error in your logic?

I'll wait for the mods to turn up, thanks.
I interpreted the locking of the 6:28 thread as a warning to keep it a bit more civil. I get a perverse please out of watching this soap opera unfold. Even though we would all be better off just ignoring rangers posts, I don't really want it to stop--hence my desire to dissuade the nastiness.

Dude sure knows how to fish. I've been on this forum for about a month and I've seen two of his threads end up in the exact same place.

Chad,
This is getting funny. You realize your requests to see a screen shot after every similar claim are becoming as predictable as many of rangers posts.

This is an idiotic and certainly untrue comment. But even if it were true, it has nothing to do with you, since you are by no measure a great rower.
Communication is also overrated.
Which is why you post here twenty times a day ...

I would have thought the best "proof" one is capable of pulling a 6:16 2k would be ... a picture of a 6:16 2K?! I guess I was wrong.

ranger wrote:aharmer wrote:Okay Rich, this is all very confusing to me. Back on September 27th (approximately page 6 of the original thread) you were talking about doing 8x500. You had already started doing these, and were cocking off about betting $2000 that you would post screen shots of your sessions.
You also had this to say on September 27th, 2009:
"1:45 @ 28 spm (11 SPI) is just my standard distance stroke these days."
I'm sure we could go back and find loads of evidence of you stating that you were doing distance rows even faster than that.
So what really confuses me is how you can do distance rowing at 1:45, but since you're not sharpened you can't even hold 1:47 pace for 2K?? Nothing adds up...what part(s) of the equation are you lying about?
I have explained my physical condition on Sunday. I just didn't have it. Too tired, I guess; and not yet fully prepared (in terms of heart rate).
I wasn't going 1:47. I have no interest in pulling a 2K at 1:47, which I do at 24 spm.
As I have mentioned, for the moment, I am pulling my 2K races at about 31 spm (1:37).
When I am rested and a little better prepared, I think I'll just pull the 2K right through at that, flat splits.
Then I will be ready for hard sharpening.
Briefly, at least, back in September, I had plans of going to BIRC. So I started to sharpen, however prematurely.
I decided pretty early on that I couldn't afford to go, though, so I just went back to my distance training and gave up the premature sharpening.

Not even the Steve Jobs reality distortion field could correct your lying, misrepresentations, senseless blathering, untruths, etc....
You live in your own little world. You have gone way over the edge and I now fear for your sanity (what's left of it anyway) and I really, really think you are on drugs as only a person of severe altered mental state could continue to perpetuate with what is clearly far, far, far from any reality as the rest of the world sees it.
Please see a therapist or check into a rehab center before you completely self destruct and possibly take someone else with you, as is often the case with individuals such as yourself when no amount of drugs can hold off reality any longer and the fantasy comes crashing down.
