Team TIMBUK2....

Did you know that you ranked #12 this year in the JVC10 out of 327 teams and ranked #12 last year out of 250 teams.

We stayed right up there..rarely waivered and I think that says alot for the way we row as a team.

We ranked #8 in all the virtual teams..not bad when you compare like teams.

Awesome!!

Jim, I think 200 meters per point for the Super Bowl is a great idea! I am glad the Saints made it to the final game, but I still must go with the Colts.

Keep me posted on how you're doing with your 10,000 daily goal. I'll do the same. I'm doing okay right now, but my knees are giving me some problems due to the lack of regular rowing and possibly hitting the oars too hard last week. I think I can work through it, though.

Chris, it was great hearing from you, and I'm glad you're on the mend. I've been thinking of you.

Pat, glad to have you back! I don't get how the viruses work, but I'm glad I haven't had any problems yet. I won't stay logged in unless I'm posting something. Maybe that will help.

~Linda

Okay, for anyone out there who wants to take on the Super Bowl Challenge (200 meters per point in the game), we each need to row 9600 meters by the end of Tuesday.

Wasn't it a great game! I always have mixed feelings at the end of a sports season. Thank goodness March Madness is just around the corner followed by Rockies baseball.

Okay, is that 9600 meters between now (Monday) and Tuesday, or 9600 meters *on* Tuesday? Might make a difference on how/if I row today, as I am still a newbie. :D I do love a good challenge though!

It was indeed a great game! Nice to have a Superbowl very evenly matched, as they are much more interesting to watch than the blowouts.

It is a one day challenge row of 9600 meters. It is very, very optional as it is something I created just for fun.

Well, the Super Bowl Challenge was just for fun, so after thinking about it, I wanted to bring more people in by giving them two days (Monday & Tuesday) instead of just one. 9600 is more than some can do in a single day, especially without much notice. I rowed my 9600 meters today.

The point is to get everyone rowing as much as possible & give people extra incentive to make it fun.

With the Super Bowl prep & guests, I'm behind & have some make-up to do over the next week to get back on track. My knees aren't swelling as much this week (did too much, too fast last week), so as long as my body holds up, I'll keep going.

At this moment in time, we are 642,491 meters behind Team Canada. We lost some ground since Friday, but I still have hope that we can close the gap. Like Lisa's quote from Yoda, "Do, or do not! There is no 'try'." And as Pat says, just do it! ...even when it's hard.

Sometimes I'm not sure whether I'm speaking to you guys or just trying to motivate myself! Making time for daily exercise is hard for me!

~Linda
