 A lot better then last years first race 7.30 ish.

But not quit a WR, the predicted 6.28 or his year goal 6.16. It must have been a ut5 row.

What a clown.

So first race DNS
second race 7.11

I once got a calf cramp the size of a golf ball 200m into a race, and had to be pulled off the erg (Newburyport a few years back). Somehow Paul Flack on the adjacent erg kept rowing as if nothing was happening.....

Good on you for carrying on. How was your result?

Got up, drank a little coffee, warmed up on the erg, and made weight.

So I am off to Cincinnati.

It's about 3:30 a.m. here.

Hope the weather isn't _too_ nasty on the roads.

It's about a four hour drive to Cincinnati from Ann Arbor.

Whew I don't know anyone else and have never heard of anyone else who gets up at 1:45 am in the mornings,
and then works out for several hours. You have my admiration just for that, plus quite a few other things.
I hope you have a great row today.

Cute post!

My favorite part of that movie was the dog, in the back of the truck.

Hi Ranger, I'm a total newbie admitted. I wish You the best of luck, I will follow Your races with huge interest. Great achivements often demand failure at start. Kind regards Claus the Dane, 46, 173, 73 (going for sub 70..), 40 erg. rows behind me, 5000/19.47.8

It just seems rather foolish to me, bad preparation = bad race!
If weight is good why row before hand!

And so it happened, expect Rich to stay quiet for a number of days now.
We will then get, "I rowed through to xxx metres @ so and so".
Dont suppose there will be stroke data there, none in Rich's races last season?
