This coming Saturday (Jan 30) will feature two top lwts erging in Indianapolis:
I post this info for those who might want to see how our heros: Cureton and Randall will do.
https://www.regattacentral.com/index.jsp?tab=regattas
Navigate to Indianapolis sprints and
the Mens Veteran/Golden Eagle (50+) 1x which will be Event #1
Richard Cureton (59 lwt)
Paul Randall (90+ lwt)
Cureton claims to be trained to be ready to go 10 seconds under the current World Record for the 55-59 lights held by Roy Brook of Great Britain.
I haven't heard a claim from Paul Randall. He's the best in his class these days.

Hope to post links for two races that went of today:
Indianapolis and Alexandria.
I had two friends who went to the Mid-Atlantic ERg Sprints.
THe early going was slow.. A snow storm was in progress... Will wait to hear more.
The 6:28 59 yr old didn't make it to Indianapolis... Better luck next week.

Thanks for the Mid Atlantic results post!
Always good to hear news about Bob Spousta! I was in the Occoquan Boat Club while stationed (Navy) there. He is an amazing rower, and person! He and I didn't interact much, but we did have a rather unfortunate, uh, "meeting" in the middle of the Schuylkill river one head race day. He only took third in his race as a result and was very gracious when I tried to apologize
I recognize Ken Schuster also, the Schuster brothers there were always pretty good too.
