Folks,

I have the following problem with rowpro:

The control center window is of fixed size and can neither be maximized nor minimized. The size is too small and the fonts are huge. So much of the information does not fit into the window.

For example under OARBITS -> SESSIONS I can see the scheduled races but to the right only up to half the date (that is after scrolling all the way to the right).
I cannot see the checkbox to enter a race.

Looking downward I can see information all the way to RESULTS. I can also see that there is something below that but not what it is. There is no way to scroll up or down.

Does anyone have the same problems?

the font size is set by your browsers default text size. in the rowpro app, I think it is set by your preference in your browser or in like your internet control panel.

As a programmer, I've seen these same symptoms in programs we've written. It's always been because large fonts were selected.

Jeff

I cannot find out how to submit a rowpro file to the online rankings.
I see the file in the
rowpro/control center/rowing log
but I do not know where it resides physically so I have to rely on program options and there do not seem to b any in the rowing log screen.

Hi,

When I view a race report it doesn't seem to be 'selectable' for the purposes of sharing.

By this I mean we are looking at sharing/posting files to our own website so that others in the club can view your race report/stats. I have been taking a screen shot, cropping the pic, saving it as a B&W gif and uploading it...but would prefer to be able to export to a word file...or even just cut and paste...

Is this possible?

Steve

I think you'd get a better answer from the guys at Digital Rowing

This is probably not a static web page, but built through an sql query. You would most likely have to get access to the results database. Not sure if they would give access or not.

Jeff

It's pretty easy to find the "Results List" table in the code and ditch the rest. Then you can stuff that table code into the web page and it will be formatted as it is in the original. Maybe 5 minutes of poking around the first time, and much less for subsequent ones. No need to get the guys at DR to do anything for you, which is good!

Bill

My problem comes up when changing speed between intervals. I just did 2x6k with a 2k "rest" after each. After finishing the 2nd 6k, and I slowed down to my rest pace, the boat stopped. At about 4-500m the boat sped ahead, and stopped. It kept this up until it seemed to catch up to where I was at with about 500m to go on the final 2k rest. It appears to be just a display thing, since the meters/time were recorded correctly. (It happened on a WP Level 4 workout with 2 minute splits, so I saw that it was tracking the splits correctly, even though the display was all over the place. Know your splits before doing this workout programmed into RowPro!)

Any suggestions or do we wait for the next release?

I have a rather unique Model C erg in that it has both a PM2+ and PM3 mounted. When using the PM2+ it usually takes RP only a few strokes at most to resynchronize after starting a new interval. With the PM3 when rowing many intervals RP takes longer and longer to resynch until the boat is jumping 100s of meters then stopping but as you note this is only a display problem as the numbers come out right.

So far no fix and I'm not aware of a good work around. Something to live with until the next release I guess.

Frank

In RowPro races with seven boats, "Row" appears on the screen for a long time and the other boats are sitting on the starting line after a few seconds have gone by. The update is very slow.

Jaap has shown some very good graphs of the stroke data. The stroke data at the start many times doesn't correspond with what we see on our screens. This is probably due to the same updating problem that you see in intervals.

Regards,

Paul Flack

Thanks Paul & Frank. I just wanted to add this to the list. It did sound a lot like what Paul experienced with the start of their races.

During the pause, I started to see faces/shapes in the trees in the background. (Maybe I've been reading too many stories to my kids and my imagination is getting to me. Remember "Where the Wild Things Are"?)
