I signed up for race A.
I am probably good for a 3:20. I think I'll do a 1k test so see what I can really do. My PB stands at 3:32 but I avoid sprints. If you need me to drop down to B due to lack of space, I will.

I am also willing to do the relay so I signed up today.
Jaap, your 1K time is .3 quicker than mine. The MAD Team League this month is the 1K, I really need to get under 3:00's, I guess you will be aiming for the too?

What about you Paul?

Sir P

Andy, if you think you can break the 3:30 then you should stay in the final "A" this one should gave you the push to accomplish you goal. But if you decide to do the "B" final you can always be are mouse and I will be the cat (big cat ). Your own preference.

Final "A" seem to be the killer one 3:00 wow!!! Not for me anyway).

Marylin hope to see you there there is not manny women racing from the Web .

I did some 1K tests and I think 3:20 is now ambitious. Probably will do 3:25.

andy

Since then a lot of 5k, 6k, 10k and hm, but no short interval. Last 3 weeks a lot of cycling, only once a week at the C2. I hope I can keep up with you and Paul, but 3:00 is not feasible. I would be very satisfied with a 3:03.8.

Jaap

In regards of the team race only have 2 rowers from the internet (Paul & Andy) it will be nice to have 2 more volunteers so every one will be attach to one of my local team (we have 4 teams from Toronto). So if you have any interest in to it please register soon so we can form the teams

What I was thinking is to get the web rowers to start the relay race (they will have to row 1K and then the local team will start as soon they their web rowers finish their first 1000M. The local team will go thru 5000M in relay with 4 rowers per team(2 males/ 2 females) the winners will be the team who finish first after the 6000M.

Option A: the 4 web rowers will row only the first 1K and the local team do the rest (5K).
Option B: The 4 web rowers will row the first and after is team complete 5K the web rower will do a finnish for the last 1K.

please comment or suggest if you have a better idea

Hei,
thanks for organising, Alain. That was fun. So many boats close together around my boat, long, long ago I saw this. I just can assume, what was happening at your place. Must have been even more fun to be there!

Regards
Christine

Thanks for organizing the race Alain. I never saw 12 boats race on-line before. But, it all worked perfectly. With all the problems that we have been experiencing with RowPro, I was a bit skeptical at the start that all 12 boats would start. But, this race went very well. No grey outs. Everyone's position showed clearly on the screen. I could see Thomas, Jaap, and Pirate's boats all too well and it pushed me on to finish two seconds better than I had planned. (Third with a time of 3:05.0)

I had some problems with the relay. I saw the countdown, and started to row. But, none of the boats moved. I exited hoping to restart. But Team Brasil and Team Canada continued to row. I must have been the only one that couldn't get the boat to move. I didn't wait for the end because I needed to eat lunch and take a shower. I hope the relay went well.

Cheers,

Paul Flack
