My dragonboat team will have a online rowing regatta on April 24 I will post quite a few races for that day.

The main objective if you want to sign in, is to sign in the the proper categories. The race will be base on final time/gender. No age restriction or weight.

This will not be a handicap race so please make sure of your estimate time or PB when you sign up.

Hope to see a few of you so we can have some challenging race.

The race distance will be 1000M and after we will have team relay race. The format for the team relay race is not finalize yet maybe we can adjusted to fitted the most participant.

What I did is I divide 30 paddlers in different categories base on their aprroximate finish time. I have no doubt if you Thomas and Andy want to enter the event they should register to the "Final A". The time in that race should be 3:30 or better.

For Men's

Final A: 3:30 or Faster
Final B: 3:30 to 3:45
Final C: 3:45 to 3:55
Final D: 3:55 or Slower.

For Women's

Final A: 4:16 or faster
Final B: 4:17 to 4:40
Final C: 4:40 or Slower

For the team race the plan is to have 4 rowers (2men's/2 women's). Every one have to race for a minimum of 500M and a max of 3000M. If anyone for the web world is interested to participate I can always match you with some peoples from my team.

Alain

Will the team race be done like the partner races that we did on Supercanoa? One person starts and the other waits until the first crosses the finish line. This works for a set distance for each person to row. But, I am not sure how it will work out if one peson rows 500m and another rows 3,000m.

Paul Flack

Paul I already have 3 teams (12 rowers/3 erg) here set to rows at my house and if we get some rowers from the internet we will adapt the race so we can accomodate the web rowers. Not sure yet what will be the best way, but I like to get has manny is possible.

Signed in for the final A. It will be my first 1000m this season, so I can for sure rank it as a season pb anyway . Last 1000m that I did max is from April 9, 2004 (3:03.9). After that race I didn't make one stroke for 5 months.
Jaap

I see that your race is on the old server. If you host on the Digital Rowing server, you might get a much larger response.

I still have E-row on my computer and my PM2+ is in the closet. I can make the swap and join you if you want to leave the race on the old server.

Cheers,

Paul Flack

Hei,
I can't join the digitalrowing server anymore. I was registered and have raced 2 or 3 times on this server before, but now I am thrown out from there. Are PM2+ owners no longer allowed to participate without buying RowPro?? I have no intention of spending $99, which is a lot of money for me. So I am happy, that there are still races on the eRow server! Thanks Alain.

Regards
Christine

The race will be done with "Erow" like Christine said not everyone has RP. And I will use up to 5 ergs from my house connected together and this is not possible with the PM3 yet.

Alain

I rowed a few workouts with people using E-row. I am not sure if this can still be done now that Digital Rowing has issued another version of RowPro. I suspect that E-rowers can still join, since that was one of the main goals which were set over a year ago. But I haven't seen any E-rowers since the upgrade. (1st of April) The E-rowers are obvious on the RowPro screen, they dress totally in black and they row black boats.

We are currently having a fair bit of trouble getting races started on RowPro. It is probably best for you to stick to E-row for this race.

Cheers,

Paul Flack

Rowpro released a new version last Saturday. You need to register again, you can use e-row do this.

andy
