Well, by now we're all pretty familiar with those original eight reindeer:

"More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and call'd them by name:
"Now, Dasher! Now, Dancer! Now, Prancer, and Vixen!
"On, Comet! On, Cupid! On, Donner and Blitzen!"

And we've certainly heard of Rudolph (seen leading the sleigh on the Holiday Challenge team), but are you familiar with Lightning, Fireball, Chet, Robbie....and Olive? We're going to need some extra names because we've got 35 reindeer on this team ready to fly! Great rowing by all who are making time to fit in meters during this challenge!

The Ancients

Post by Kona2 » December 18th, 2009, 3:55 pm

Gotta hand it to the Ancients.....it's taking more than 2 Luna-Tics per Ancient to even come close to catching up with them! And Jane may have discovered an advantage - all four kids can fit on the rower - sort of a rowing peloton. They will have to take turns to see who "drives" and who is the caboose unwrapping the power bars...

congrats Gina, Ben and Rick for all their hard work
Also, checked the team standing after rowing tonight. We are now in fourth place, moving 40,000 meters ahead of the ancient ones. (No I did not row that much tonight).
Hope our lead lasts until you all wake up to see it.

Rick - Congratulations on achieving One Million Meters for this Rowing Season! Great Rowing!

It is 6:15AM CST and the Luna-Tics are a mere 6,000 meters ahead of the Ancient Mariners. If we want to stay ahead today, we probably need to throttle up the ship into Warp Drive for a while..... Row Luna-Tics!

Arrgh! Buckle up, mates! We're riding the high seas of piracy! And Moose is probably right about how we would sing!

The entire Concept2 Holiday Challenge Rowing Community currently has earned $18K of the $30K goal for the four foodie charities. There is still time to complete the challenge - we have SO MANY people who are SO close to completion! To the moon - and to the food! Row some extra meters if you're "done" with the challenge....I mean, really, are we ever "done?"
