Just finished the *** DELETE - SPAM *** clean-up, the last slices of pie are wrapped, and I am lapsing in and out of a turkey stupor ... seeing there's only about 20 minutes left in today, I am sadly AWOL on Day 1 of the Holiday Challenge. Hope everyone had a splendid day.

Welcome to the crazy Luna-tics, Bish. Glad to see you introduce yourself here so fast. And great job on logging your first challenge meters.

Way to go, Tomo!

Image Ready for the Challenge, we are! May the erg force be with you!

Who knew we'd become fly-by-nighters...! Next full moon is December 2nd, and we're definitely under the lunar influence. When I saw the Strasburger household meters (112,000 plus a few) for today, I had to double check that the Captain hadn't figured out how to convert all the erg meters to run the household current....or those doves are being trained really well to fly ....

Season meters as of 210/365 = 58,825,122 m (that's 58 percent of the rowing year completed, and 58 million meters....so 100 million team meters might not be so far fetched!)

Total meters on the day = 404,329 m

Oars in space (participation) = 29 percent

MILESTONES...Bragging Rights...Celebrations:

1.3 MM Mitch J
500K Mike M
300K Kristine
200K Tim S

Image Tim S leads the posting board with a multi-day effort of 40,404 m ...almost a full moon!
Image Kaptain Kristine with 39,984 m over a few days gets a half moon
Image Ted with 31,000 m earns a half moon
Image Peter H with half marathon #32 and 5K because he wanted to do more...
Image Ben with a fine posting of 25,325 m over a multi-day period gets a half moon as well
Image Wild Bill with 25,000 m earns a half moon...it's all the work hours slowing him down to a reasonable pace...?
Image Will S with a half moon over Iraq and 22,023 m

TWO Million Meter Watch:

Darryl, our canoeist, with (83,503 m) to go!

And thanks to all our holiday challenge rowers for moving us closer to the moon! I don't know whether everyone was rowing to offset those Thanksgiving calories or prepaying them....but wow! What a great start to the holiday challenge...

Tomo 2,012 m (11K and change to the next milestone)
Bill 4,020 m
Keith 6,672 m
Tony 6,789 m 6....7...8....9 Whoa! It must be practically the holidays!
Teresa 8,180 m
Noelle 8,417 m
Peter G 9,000 m
Mike M 10,000 m
Jim 11,397 m
Mike C 12,000 m
Mitch J 13,014 m (go for it...I can't row today!)
Jack 13,058 m
K2 14,380 m
Laurie 16,000 m
Baz 17,666 m
Tom R 20,871 m
Kenneth G 21,020 m
Will S 22,023 m
Wild Bill 25,000 m
Ben 25,325 m
Peter H 26,097 m
Ted 31,000 m
Kristine 39,984 m
Tim S 40,404 m

Row those Holiday Challenge meters -- whatever your goal may be!

Today is a great day!

Happy holiday season to all my fellow Luna-Tics! :D

Work has been a bit of an intrusion lately - and likely to continue for awhile - so, expect spotty reporting of the metres.

But today was great - I just finished my first Full Marathon of the season and broke 14 Million Metres Lifetime  Certs have been downloaded and Marathon pin is on its way.

If it weren't for all the encouragement from my team mates, it would have been very easy to slack off, so again, thanks to all of you for the continuing support!

Now I think I'll take the rest of the day off :P
