Back at ya, 3B, and many thx, all, for the attagirls.

We were watching "The Proposal" while I rowed last night and, for whatever reason, we decided to open a bottle of champagne and sip throughout the movie ... I have never, ever, come remotely close to taking as long to finish a HM as I did last night ... it took longer than most sports seasons (well, maybe not the world baseball season)! Probably not the sports drink of choice for most, but at least now I've decided what I'm going to serve with Thanksgiving dinner.

Taking a day of rest. My roll was pretty good, but starting to feel pretty fatigued just in general, think I need to take the day off.

An alarm bell signaled the opening of the escape hatch...our force has lessened to 80 crew members. Good luck and good rowing to our departing crewman (Bon voyage, Scott)! Crew members note the need to get some good rest here and there .... our journey is a long one!

Season meters as of 192/365 = 53,172,757 m

Total meters on the day = 199,311 m

Oars in space (participation) = 19 percent

A word of explanation for those who might be browsing:

Milestones are generally acknowledged in 100K increments, with the notable exception of our junior rowers who have shorter increments depending upon the age of the rower.

A supernova - and we do have rowers who do these occasionally - is 100K in a day
A red giant is 50K in a day
A full moon is a full marathon distance in a day
A full marathon is acknowledged as such when a person rows this distance in one sitting
A half moon is a half marathon distance in a day
A half marathon is acknowledged as such when a person rows this distance in one sitting
Stars - we have lots of them - every crew member!

MILESTONES....Bragging Rights....Celebrations:

6.1 MM Wild Bill aka William H (a quiet return?!)
1.9 MM Tim P
1.1 MM Mitch J
10K Tomo - he's halfway to his first C2 pin !

Image Wild Bill returns from a work break to put in 50,000 m and earn a red giant (50,000 m or more in a day)
Image Barbara rows half marathon/moon # 87 with 24,549 m
Image Chris with half marathon # 124 on the year
Image Tim with half marathon # 16 on the year

And thanks to all today's stars for all the kinds of meters - every single one of them counts towards our journey to the moon:

Tomo 3,360 m
Ben 3,781 m
AJ 4,019 m
Kristine 4,632 m
Gina 8,000 m
Teresa 8,018 m
Peter G 9,000 m
Steven 10,000 m
Mitch 10,011 m
Baz 10,556 m
Tim S 11,191 m
Tim P 21,097 m
Chris 21,097 m
Barbara 24,549 m
William H 50,000 m

Have a blue sky rowing day - wherever you row!

Now the champagne sounds like a pleasant sports drink! But I hear what you are saying about taking a long time to finish....bit like a game of cricket..hope there are no cricket lovers here........slim chance I suspect!

Cheers
