Put up two new rowpro files in the rankings for the 500m (3:12.6) and the half marathon (1:19:53.4). A variety of Rowpro files/paces are still pretty hard to find. You guys need to get on the stick and set some season records . In the meantime, I hold the "rowpro" age group (40-49) world record for the 1K and halfthon .

Cheers,
Jeff Sauter

Unfortunately we can't post both a RowPro best and a Season's best. The rankings only takes one entry. Most of my best rows this year were rowed when RowPro was not working.

A 500m of 3:12 as the best in the RowPro rankings? I think my 11 year old daughter should be able to better that one. Or is this record for the 40-49 year olds only?

Cheers,

Paul Flack

I just checked, my daughter put up a 500m RowPro file for you to beat. 2:28 was her time.

You must have meant 1K rather than a 500m time. I see that you logged 3:12 for 1K. I need to beat my non-RowPro 3:02 time so that I can log a combination Ranking and RowPro time.

Most rowers do their fastest 2K times in a race. Therefore, Rowpro will not have many rower's best 2K times. Or, none at all if the rower wants to rank their best 2K time for the year. Somehow, we need a method to be able to rank our best RowPro time when someone looks under "RowPro".

Cheers,

Paul Flack

I shall be getting rowpro next week. We have a 1k challenge to do for our team league, so I will try my hand at a p.b to give you a file to row against. I will be aiming for 2:56.x

Good thing yiou aren't 40 years old ASH! I don't think that I will ever row that fast.

I rowed 0.3 of a second better than my best so far this season. So, now there is a reasonably fast RowPro file for you to beat routinely in training.

I was only able to better my time because I had a pace boat going at my previous 1K best this season. (3:02.8) I got two meters ahead and stayed there. It was really tough to stay ahead the last 250m, but I was so near the end that I wasn't going to let that silly pace boat pass me. Now my lungs hurt, my legs hurt, but my pride is OK.

Looking forward to seeing your RowPro files ASH.

Paul Flack

All CRASH-B files should be input also. This way we will have many of the top times to race against in practice.

Paul Flack

That is a pity.
I agree DigitalRowing and Concept2 should find a solution for this.
I think the best would be to add an "Upload to Digitalrowing" option in Rowpro. Digital Rowing should offer a web-based ROW-file database. You would then upload every session that might be interesting for others to Digital Rowing and upload just your SB's to C2. All Rowpro users can download Row-files that where uploaded by other Rowpro users. This way a whealth of Row-files can be collected over the years. Everybody happy.

Tom

Sorry about bumping you off so quickly Jeff. You inspired me to have a go at my 1K. You asked for more RowPro files and now you got it. Be careful what you ask for!

It would be interesting to see if someone could row against my RowPro file. When I look at the results, there are 18 splits instead of 20. Each split is entered twice. There are no totals or averages. When I look at the graphs, my heart rate was near 350 bpm. (I must admit, it felt like it at the end. )

Cheers,

Paul Flack

Used rowpro for the first time today to do a gentle 1k. Cant say im impressed so far, it managed to lose all the data and froze twice. Will try and race online in the next couple of days.
