Hey I noticed there is not many sessions for rowpro, just a few and mostly not on my schedule. I would really like to set up some sessions with some east US coasters if there are some people out there who would like to do so. I would like to start the sessions at 7pm-8pm eastern time, which correlates to 0:00-1:00 GMT/Rowpro time. If anyone is interested or has an interest in doing another eastern time ( I am free from 5pm-9pm est) let me know and maybe we can set something up

Sounds great! I'd love to join you if that would be okay. Because of my work schedule I'm not able to practice on Wednesdays, and on some days (if possible) might need to practice at 6:30 or 6:45.

David/Slugbutt

I think there has been a drop in online rows on rowpro leading up to the holidays, and in part, waiting for beta 5 to try again.

But there are other people who row in the 6pm-7pm range eastern time, and some of us who are more likely to start rowing in the 8pm-9am range. I can occasionally row earlier, for me it presents the question: do you eat first and row late, or do you row first and eat late? Since I have kids, I usually row after they go to bed.

hahaha, MichealB usually I nap first and then row. I get home from work and just need to recharge a little before I can hop on the ol wheel of pain. My schedule is as follows right now, but can easily be altered to accomodate rowing with you guys.

6-8am EST Row/Erg
8-9am EST Eat/shower
9am-4pm Work
4-5pm Eat
5-7pm Nap
7-9pm Erg
9-10pm Lift weights
10pm-MN decompress, eat, watch TV, save the world from supervillians, sleep

I could either lift first and then erg or the way I have it now, so I am really free for those three hours in the evening, and would consider starting at 630 or so in my precious nap time slot.

I was thinking if we could get a daily regular time, that would take some of the guess work out of it. I tried to set up a couple of sessions, but i could not seem to get the date/time function to work. Not sure if it was a glitch or what.

I find that the oarbits website is not standards compliant, so many browsers based on the standards (most mac browsers including safari and omnweb, and all netscape and mozilla based variations) have problems. The site was likely designed for the nonstandard internet explorer. So yeah, selecting the date and time to set up a row can be funky.

You can usually use the rerow server, but remember that uses local time, not GMT.

rerow

You may need to switch server to the digital rowing server.

I am not sure how much more I am going to row, so it may be Jan before you see me online again.

Would you have any interest in trying to follow the training program from Korseniosky used when he was in the U.S.? I don't think I'm in good enough shape to do good quality work on all of the practices (and may not be able to complete them all), but would love to try. For December, it looks something like this:

Monday: 4x10min on/6min off a 26-28spm; hr max-10
Tuesday: 80 min steady state
Wednesday: 5x20min on/3 min off steady state
Thursday: 3 sets of 7 min(1min on/1min off)/6-8 min off; hr max-10
Friday: same as Wed.
Saturday: 3x2500m/8 min off @ full tilt boogie
Sunday: every other Sunday off. Otherwise, same as Wed.

Also, relatively high rep (60 reps) weights 3x/week. I have to take Wednesdays off instead of alternate Sundays.

Sound like fun?

i am quite new to rowpro, but I'm not sure how well those interval type workouts would go for online races. We could definitly do the firm distance or time stuff though. If you guys know how and could help me, you can chat it to me. But maybe we could set a time of 7pm to meet on weeknights? If you can show up, great, if not, no hard feelings. Unless 630pm works better for you guys. I am preferential to 7 because of my nap but can work in 6:30
