I was off from work today, called it quits after 15k. Went for lunch with my wife.

I have a special team announcement!!

Concept 2 does not reward any virtual team for this challenge.

So far this has been the most fun and participative challenge to date for TIMBUK2.( I think).
The team room has been abuzz with team chatter and it has been fun to see.

I am going to offer up what I will call the TEAM CUP as a "prize" for the top rower on the team.This is not a race or competition as I see it..but there is alot of very healthy competition going on here.That keeps us all motivated and this is awesome.

So..for all of the team who stop here, read this forum and are aware of the FRC09..I am offering the TEAM CUP...a large FRC09 mug by Cafe Press to the top rower.

GO TEAM...

It is just my way of thanking all of you for being on the team!!!

ps: just curious though...why the bias against virtual teams??? Doesn't seem fair, I mean, sweat IS sweat, whether virtual or not

This challenge was originally just for teams at health clubs etc..real brick & mortar type rowing teams.Virtual teams were not involved.Then Concept2 opened it up to the virtual teams as well but with no shippable rewards.So we just row for the fun and comraderie.

I still will offer up the TEAM CUP...makes the challenge more fun ..don't ya think??

We will be awarding a FRC09 Tee Shirt( thanks to a special anonymous donor) to a TIMBUK2-ian randomly chosen out of ALL the participants at the end of the challenge.

Motivation for everyone..no matter how many meters you row.They are all appreciated and add to the strength and spirit of the team.

So row strong and good luck on being the recipient of the Timbuk2 TEAM CUP or TEE.
