I must not post enough, my account keeps being deactivated!

Thanks Pat, finally made it to the million meters. Only lost 12lbs in weight which does not seem a good return for the effort. I have been doing some weight training also so I probably now have more muscle mass (that's my excuse and am sticking to it).

This is the most consistent period of rowing ever for me, now on a lifetime 7million meters. Your posting of the stats has helped and this forum has kept me motivated. We have a very competitive team now.

Not sure if I have adopted a healthy lifestyle or acquired a compulsive obsessive diorder

I am going to the coast next few days, hoping to do some fishing. Will rest from rowing and hope to re-charge in time for the Fall challenge.

ROW STRONG!

WAY TO GO CHRIS! CONGRATS ON THE COOL MILLION!

I am getting back into my routine, so the meters are slowly gaining for this season! Right now I am 81,300 away from my first ever Lifetime MILLION meter mark and I'm looking for a little extra motivation and challenge!

So I am calling out to any TimbukTOO-eans that will row with me. My goal is to be there in the next ten days!

My  plan is 10k, 5k, 10k, 5k, 15k, 7.5k, 15k, 7.5k, 15k, and a day of rest somewhere in there. That should comfortably put me at my goal plus a little extra. Then give me a little rest time before the Fall Challenge starts.

Way to Row TimbukTOO! We're that much closer to our goal: proving "indoor rowing" is a classic symptom of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder !;)

I'm in! I was thinking on my run this AM the team could pledge to match your rows on a day or two for support (kinda like the NPR pledge drives! :P ). I'll pledge 10k tomorrow and another 10k next Tuesday. Anyone want to join in for the other 8 days?

Fall Rowing Challenge

The 2009 Fall Rowing Challenge begins on September 15 and ends on October 15. This is a great way to get your members started on a healthy routine of regular exercise.

Sign up now—it's fun! For more details on the challenge and information on creating a team, go to concept2cts.com/frc.

We have also designed a PDF poster for you to print out and hang up at your club to encourage all your members to join in the fun! The poster is available FREE. Download the 2009 Fall Rowing Challenge Poster.

Prizes! Prizes! Prizes!

Your club will have a chance to win your choice of a new Model D or Model E Indoor Rower! We will draw from all non-virtual clubs participating who have at least 10 members on their team who have rowed 100,000 meters or more during the challenge. The lucky winner will receive a brand new indoor rower! There are also prizes for all non-virtual team participants who row over 100,000 meters, as well as extra special prizes for those who row at least 200,000 meters! All participants will also be able to purchase a limited edition Fall Rowing Challenge T-shirt through cafepress.com.

Note: Virtual teams and their participants are not eligible to receive shipped prizes. Indoor rower prizes are only available for clubs in the U.S. & Canada as we cannot ship the rowers overseas.

If you have any questions, please email info@concept2cts.com. We hope to see your club's name on the challenge roster this year!

Rowing Back to Vermont!

The Vermont to Vegas Virtual Challenge has been such a success with our customers aged 50+ that Concept2 CTS and Cabot Cheese invite you to join us again in the Vegas to Vermont Virtual Challenge, hosted by cabotcheese.coop!

After the AARP 50+ Expo in Las Vegas October 22–24, 2009, we will be returning home by virtually rowing, walking, swimming or running back across the country. The Vegas to Vermont challenge begins on Monday, November 2.

Meters rowed in the Vegas to Vermont Virtual Challenge can also be counted towards other Concept2 challenges by recording them in the Concept2 Online Logbook.

We hope you join us!

Best regards,

The Concept2 CTS Crew

Chris, a 12 pound weight loss, especially if it was mostly fat, is nothing to sneeze about. Congrats!

I have a Tanita body fat scale that I've been very happy with. I'm not exactly sure what weight I want to finally be at, but I do know that I want to decrease my body fat percentage to the mid twenties. I hope it's possible. My weight loss is going very slowly. When I stay away from processed foods, I seem to do better.

Michael, good luck with your goals. I'm splitting my exercise time between tapes and rowing, but I'm still working toward getting back on the 10,000 board (I haven't been up there since July). I seem to be able to row about 10,000 each day, but I need extra meters. Maybe the Fall Challenge will get me more motivated.
