Model A- How many wheel revolutions in 500 meters?

Post by Bozeman » July 23rd, 2009, 10:39 pm

Hello,

A year or two ago there was a post where someone had counted or figured out the number of wheel revolutions it takes to simulate 500 or 1000 meters on a model A. I cannot find that post anymore.

Does someone still have that info? I use it to approximate rowing meters on my sigma bike monitor that is attached to my model A, but lost the wheel size I used when I changed the battery.

Thank you much!

Keeping in mind that comparing the old analog speedo to the current electronic PM is an approximation at best, one mile indicated on the old speedo was determined to be equal to 500 meters of rowing. 967 revolutions of the A flywheel would get the speedo to one mile. C2JonW

Thank you sir. I thought it was you who had done the counting. I realize it is an approximation at best, but it has been a gauge for progress for me, and I had lost that baseline when the monitor died.

Thank you again.
