"In the dark of night....those small hours...." Woohoo! It was a bike party! Thousands of cyclists lined the street in front of the state capitol.. some in lycra, some in costume...here's the queue at the start of the family wave (followed by the Gonzo Wave closer to midnight)....had to walk the bikes for the first block or two...familiar city landmarks take on a whole new dimension by the light of the moon and bike lights....highly recommend that you see your city at night wherever you are!

Lunar mission launched July 16, 1969 and land on the moon July 20, 1969. That would make tomorrow the 40th. Give Kiba a gold star!!!1

Photobucket or webshots

Post by Kona2 » July 19th, 2009, 11:14 pm

Denise - two websites that host your photos are Photobucket and Webshots. It's pretty easy to either upload to photobucket or to webshots. Both provide the link code to put onto the forum - it takes a little bit of practice to make it a reasonably quick process, but it's all possible. Let me know if I can help. Glad you liked the photos! K2

Image In a journey that took about four days, the Apollo 11 spacecraft lifted from earth July 16, 1969 and landed on the moon July 20th. Our journey to the moon more closely mirrors the building of the International Space Station (which began in 1998 and has a projected completion of 2011). We began our journey in 2003...and going out on a lunar LM, our projected landing will occur in two and a half rowing years....in 2013... Plan on being part of the landing crew!

Season meters as of 80/365 = 19,610,964 m

Total meters on the day = 163,513 m

Oars in space = 22 percent

MILESTONES....Bragging Rights....Celebrations:

2.3 MM William H aka Wild Bill
600 K Peter H aka The Stig (new mode of horsepower though)

Image Woohoo! Minnie brings in half marathon # 55! Image

And thanks to today's crew for moving us closer to our target - every meter counts! :

Nancy 500 m

Jim 7,156 m
Gina 8,006 m
Steven 10,000 m

I've got my oven set :P!

Just so everyone knows, my updates might get sporatic pretty soon, for about the next month. I'm getting ready to move, so I don't have as much time to row. Then once I do move, I might not have the internet for a while.

Lots of meters, but no HM for me, those accumulated over several days. Hoping to start rowing every single day since work is finally slowing down, so expect more soon! :D
