I try to get in 45 min to an hour of walking and then do at least 30 min of rowing in the evening at home. I am off work for the next 4 days so plan to walk the dogs longer and maybe row a couple times during the day.

Susan
Great job Susan!!
Thanks for sharing your journey!!

I will add mine here...after yesterday's email sent out from Concept2...the number of participants sky rocketed.

At the moment ( and numbers change by the minute)
I have 25 chips
I am #19 out of 728 participants and my next stop today will be Buffalo, Ny.With 96 days to go.

Anyone else traveling with Susan and myself???

Great job , Andrew!!
You hit a major "milestone" with your morning row today!!Congrats to you!!

98 out of 734 is great and it is not a race per-se..so doesn't matter how fast.Just the fact that we are participating is key here.Watching the progress down the 'road' is fun.We are all eligible to win..so who knows..who will be jetting off to Vegas or one of the other trips they have for us??I will be happy to get a hunk of cheese or a TEE.Even just the satisfaction of knowing I worked out each day and will benefit from the extra miles is prize enough..

Thanks for sharing your journey...keep us posted!!
..and don't forget you can add any workout you had starting May 15th...at any time...

900participants now in V2V Challenge...the crowds are forming..the road is long..better be wide
This is awesome to see so many 50+( age) people working out and getting fit.
This is the best in motivation and makes me as a Personal Trainer..smile :D
I just the other night took my CPR class to recertify me as a Trainer ..there were several other trainers in my class and the ages were wide spread..young to "old".
Our sharing of experiences and reasons for training were interesting.
Being fit, healthy and the desire for longevity...

GO TEAM!!!!!!
It isn't too late to join the trek to Vegas...so if you are 50+..join us..( Susan, Andrew, Pat & Bernie)

Las Vegas or Bust !!!

Post by NH Rower » May 28th, 2009, 5:18 pm

I've only been able to post about 30 minutes a day rowing, I'm so far back that I'm afraid I may be headed in the wrong direction. As you say Pat, its not really a race soooooo hopefully I'll get there before the Timer runs out.

Pat-- Keep up the Great Job Motivating Us... we appreciate it.

Bernie...
NEVER be hard on your self. This is an individual challenge and not meant to be a real competitive venture. We are all eligible for prizes and I personally feel that it is the journey that is the most fun.I applaud them for not posting everyone's ranking and place. We have our own page and can see where we stand.
This challenge keeps us consistent and accountable.Like a journal of progress that has been known to be very effective.
Just row or walk or bike or whatever you do...ALL exercise counts..not just rowing. It is time based..so if you walk around the block..add it in.If you play golf..add that in..
Posting here is not meant to be a competition..just a way to see where we all are.As a team.

Great job!!!

whoo hoo, 5 of us rowing for cheese. I guess that makes us cheesers instead of geezers lol I have not entered anything yet. I am off work today and rowed some this morning. Still have to walk the dogs and plan on rowing more later today. Maybe that will get me to stage 3.
