Good news

Post by GetSet2Go » May 26th, 2009, 1:21 am

Hi Team,
Thought I'd share some good news :D As I've said before I've put my backside on the erg so that I can complete a marathon on the erg next year to raise some money for charity. I train at a gym, which is great, but with three young children and working it takes some organising!
So the ideal is to also have a machine at home and Concept2 New Zealand are supporting me by giving me a really great monthly hire rate, a really generous discount. So I can train at home as well.
I'm looking forward to getting some good meters in :)
A big thanks to Concept2!

Team...

Please check your log in pages for new Concept2 updates etc.
I found, today a change in the Million Meter Club format and new way to get prizes.Prizes from Concept2 have slightly changed. They are such an incredibly generous company and provide the best of motivation for us all.
Cafe Press will be a place we can get really "neat" MM Club accessories.I am a hat collector and can now get rowing caps that I don't yet have.

So be on the alert for announcements on your log in pages..I have seen alot of new "stuff" happening.

GO TEAM!!!

Thanks Pat for the info. I went and checked it out and it looks like I qualify for a pin and a T-Shirt. Not sure if it is both or not but that is what was listed. That is so very generous of them.

There will still be prizes that Concept 2 will award to us for major milestones...

Complimentary Prizes from Concept2
Prize Club
Certificate All clubs
Enameled pin 1, 5, 10, 15, 20
T-shirt 1 million meters
Long sleeve shirt 5 million meters
Sweatshirt 10 million meters
Rowing shorts and T-shirt 15 million meters
Sports bag 20 million meters

There used to be socks, glasses, water bottles etc.All were sent free to us and they were very nice.I have a large set of drinking glasses that I display in a lighted corner cabinet.
These had to be costly for them..
We now will be awarded for the major milestones..I got a pair of their rowing shorts when I hit 15MM.They are great.
The Sports bag will be my next award.I am looking forward to that :D
In the meantime we can now order at low costs..neat accessories that I find to be fun and a greater variety.

I want to thank Concept 2 for all their generosity and kindness in offering us prizes for motivation.

The Cafe Press offers are really great and will be fun.

Hope you enjoy these new findings,

Pat

If any of you TimbukTOO-ians are exercising to Vegas..please let us know how many chips you have earned and where you stand in the rankings.Maybe tell us where you are in the journey.
This is an awesome challenge and has given me the motivation to do some much needed cross training.I added an hour of walking each day..

Share your experiences with us!!!

I have passed stage 2 with 12 chips and 96th of 723. I usually try to walk on my lunch hour and this has motivated me to stick to it. I try to get in 45 min to an hour of walking and then do at least 30 min of rowing in the evening at home. I am off work for the next 4 days so plan to walk the dogs longer and maybe row a couple times during the day.
