And, Chris, please don't find that picture of the sumo wrestler and the duct tape again.....it was an uff da!

Post by Kona2 » May 16th, 2009, 10:10 am

Here's a recap of the first two weeks of the 2010 year:

Crew = 43 teammates

Week 2 marked the return of Voodoogirl, and the addition of Jim B.

C2 Rowing Distance Awards:

18 Half Marathons (whew)

Rowed the Distance:

2 Full Moons
1 Red Giant

Rowing Streaks:

Chris with 14 HMs in a row (at the end of two weeks)

Tony with 14 THREETHREETHREETHREEs in a row. Tony says the chain won't break with him.

The Meters: 2010 vs 2009 Rowing Years

Image

And, most importantly, where we are relative to our goal: We've covered an additional 1.1% of the journey in the first two weeks of the rowing year.

All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 5.15.09

Image In one of our last episodes, Wild Bill had convinced the stagecoach driver to bring him directly to his rowing machine. Bill's back in the rowing saddle today. He reports that during his travels, he noted that the North Texas flotilla is increasing its rowing crew, yet remains within striking distance.

Hi all - today's stats will be posted a bit later this afternoon MDT. It's the Loveland Community Bike Classic this morning, and I have miles to go.

All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 5.16.09

Post by Kona2 » May 17th, 2009, 3:45 pm

Image It was a great day for a bike ride! Eleven hot air balloons in the skies on my way to the event, lilacs in bloom, lots of farms (horse, cattle, sheep), several lakes, and one snake....on the sidewalk instead of in the grass. Good stuff.

Meanwhile, the rowing machines kept on cranking out the watts! Two half moons in the sky (which reminds me....don't bicyclists realize that the lycra material of the bike shorts does indeed wear thin over a few seasons....saw more than my share of full moons today  ).

Season meters as of 16/365 = 4,785,102 m

Total meters on the day = 183,261 m

Oars in space = 35 percent (shore leave)

MILESTONES....Bragging Rights....Celebrations:

Awol

Post by Toothdoc » May 17th, 2009, 7:31 pm

Just so you won't think I went AWOL, the AC to the upstairs went out last night and will not be back on until tuesday. No erging until then since it's about 85 degrees up here. I can barely stand to sit here and answer emails. Sleeping tonight should be fun.

Later
