Love EITS. Great band. A song such as The Sky Above The Field Below is also good one for rowing because it starts off slowly and builds to a strong finish as you mention. I need to add this and other EITS songs to my playlist. I like Sigur Ros but don't know if I would row to their music. A little too out there for my rowing tastes and I don't speak Icelandic. Bjork would also fit into this category. I like something a bit more up tempo when rowing.

Recent Playlist includes some of the following (not necessarily in order) with song tempo all over the map

U2 - I Will Follow (my usual warm-up or Gloria)
U2 - Electric Co.
Aerosmith - Rats In The Cellar
Aerosmith - Nobody's Fault
Aerosmith - Back In The Saddle
Courtney Love - Malibu
The Cult - Fire Woman
Bush - Everythin'g Zen
Bush - Machine Head
Bush - Chemicals Between Us
Kings Of Leon - Arizona
Kings Of Leon - 4 Kicks
The Killers - Andy You're A Star
The Killers - When You Were Young
David Bowie - China Girl
Jackson Browne - Running On Empty
Mars Volta - The Widow
AC/DC - Basically anything (all high tempo)
Cheap Trick - Surrender
Cheap Trick - The House Is Rockin
Cheap Trick - He's A Whore (anything off their first album)

Hi everyone. I came across this thread when looking for some ideas on music. I have an iphone and I have a free app called Pandora. it's free music that just keeps playing and you pick the type of music you want or even the kind of bands you like and it just randomly selects them. it's like a radio with no dj or commercials and it's free. I like it and you can get it on blackberries too i think.

Give it a try.

I used to love Pandora but they suddenly developed a licensing problem for people outside the U.S., so I can't use it any more.
