TimbukTOO Team Room
With only hours to go til we set our meters back to zero...
Team TimbukTOO has closely finished at #22 out of a total of 1480 teams.
We have collectively rowed 26,942,064 meters averaging 869,099 meters per rower.

Confused
I am really confused about the whole team thing. I joined SubVets just because I saw it first.
Can I switch teams?
What is the difference between a regular team and a challenge team?
Sorry to ask such dumb questions, I am new.

Hi Ray,
I'm sure that Pat will correct me if I'm wrong!
Some people are on smaller teams or row individually throughout the year, but band together with others during the challenges.
Go to your logbook page, and click on "profile" at the top. At the next link, you'll be able to view the details in your profile. To change anything, click on "edit profile". The team selection menu is pretty far down the page.
If you want to remain on the SubVet team for your daily rowing but join us for the virtual team challenges, you'll have an opportunity to sign up once the challenge is announced. There is usually some sort of announcement on your logbook page with a link to the sign-up page before each challenge begins. I've also received emails from Concept2 announcing each challenge. If you'd like to join us for your daily rowing in the new season that starts tomorrow, we'd love to have you! Just edit your profile by selecting Timbuktoo from the "matching clubs" menu.
Hope that helps!
~Linda

A season team is one that rows together as a team from May 1st to April 30th.each year.A Challenge team is one that is made up of alot of rowers who can be from other teams to row a challenge.TIMBUK2 is made up of rowers from many teams and some who are not on teams throughout the season but row individually.
Join us at TimbukTOO for our new season and you are already on TIMBUK2..so we will keep you informed and motivated too!!
Hope I helped you..

“Winners take time to relish their work, knowing that scaling the mountain is what makes the view from the top so exhilarating.”
You were ALL winners this season..we finished a season with such accomplishment..some had the best rowing season ever..some made the marathons and half marathons, some made it past a million and some have met personal goals that they would have never made had they not just rowed that extra session.
Congrats to all of you...
WINNERS!!!

You highlighted the team (Timbuk2) in the recent stats (WRC), but didn't highlight your own accomplishment!! Congratulations, Pat!
Thanks for keeping Timbukoo in the running for the challenges in 2009, and thank you for continuing as captain in 2010!
