You only have 3 more people to pass and you'll be on the 1st page of 10,000 meters per day Annual Honor Board. Come on you can do it. Some advice, next year get on that board on day one. It is easier to stay up there than to climb the mountain. Great rowing this year.

dc
Thanks for the kind words, dc :D

Yeah, starting in July is not the best strategy for climbing to the top of the boards - and back then, 6,000 meters was a big day for me

Next season will be a record breaker :!:
Um, Wild Bill...I think you need your Record Breaker Goggles adjusted...in fact, maybe yours are totally broken, and you need a new pair. If this year has been shooting from the hip, then I am afraid of what your taking careful aim is going to look like. Yowzer!
Thanks for all the encoragement...I didn't get to row Saturday as I'm doing a 70 kilometre walk this weekend, so unlikley to row today (Sunday)...makes for a change to rowing, but sorry about the lack of metres!

intro from western australia

Post by crabylion » April 4th, 2009, 11:46 pm

Hi all, just joined the team on the WRC deadline (or maybe just after!)
I dont get a whole lot of meters rowed, because the ERG is at the gym I work at and im not allowed to just go row when on shift! I wish!! haha...

Every bit counts tho and I try to get on it after my classes (teaching aqua fitness and bodypump)

Im very new to rowing, having been in the more serious side of it since about january, using 5k distance as my challenge distance. Best time so far 22:10 with damper setting on 10, now that ive learned about drag and damper setting, i have moved back to about a 6 and concentrating on technique.

Nice to meet you all! and happy rowing!

All meters are welcome - and many are new to rowing. We have three Aussies on the year round team - perhaps you will join that one too ! Thanks for rowing with us!

Shore Leave

Post by just27 » April 5th, 2009, 2:07 am

I'm off to the dark side of the moon for a little shore leave and R&R. Will try to catch-up a bit, after Easter. (So long, and thanks for all the fish!)
