David - you are the KING! all of your stats are amazing, but I am most impressed that the avg 500k split was under 2 minutes. In my logbook, that's sprinting.

I'm reporting that I just reached 1.9 mil lifetime. Which means I'll probably reach 2 million lifetime before the season ends. Another 38 seasons to go to reach David.

I must say the challenge is a great motivation, I wouldn't normally row as much as I also train as a power lifter...had to eat a couple of extra steaks this week to keep the weight on.

Hello Everyone!

Our rower arrived and I finally started rowing again! I'm starting slow since I hadn't rowed since last year... still, I felt I did better than I expected. So Jan, be on the lookout for my meters!

And of course the hubby (Peter H) will start posting even more meters now.

Wow! Amazing numbers of meters being generated by this virtual team! Great rowing! Thank you to all our rowers! Every meter counts - and we always want more!

We're in fifth place overall - just ahead of a medical facility listing 657 rowers. This is the time of week when some of the teams start adding their weekly numbers, and the rankings can change fairly dramatically in a short period of time. Since we are in the virtual team category, it's probably a good idea to look at that category and where we place in it! This update is being added at 10 AM MST, and we've been pushed back to sixth place overall....but four and five places are held by a rowing club and a medical facility....different categories of competition. Those 109 year old medical facility rowers are amazing.



So put on your spacesuits and buckle your seatbelts, mates! We're in for a turbulent ride towards the moon! Row strong!

In deed Jan.... We got married April 30 of last year. Perfect 9 month delivery... It is light blue so it must be a little boy, but it is hard to tell. Mother and child are doing well. The mom has already quite a bond with our little one.

Thank you.
I don't follow any program, I 'just row' usually. I like to row 30-40 min most weekdays, and 60-90 on Sunday. Sometimes I try to keep a relatively steady pace throughout, and other times I'll sprint for 40-60 s every 5 or 10 minutes.

It's a game that C2 used to sell. They had 2: Tour of Lake Champlain, and Voyage to Terra Vitae. The each came with different challenges, maps, etc. They weren't online challenges.

I did the Terra Vitae game, too. It came with a big poster with meter blocks forming a map all around a group of islands, and the idea was to start at one block, and make your way around the islands covering every block on the map. It required you to go back over some blocks, as there was no way to do the whole map without some doubling up. I liked it partly because you got to chart your own course. It also came with a cool t-shirt. It was a great deal for $15, but they don't sell it anymore (at least I can't find it on their online store.)

In yesterday's posting I indicated that we would soon see teams updating their meters in a big way - with some dramatic shifts in rankings. And indeed this has occurred. We're ranked FOURTH in the virtual teams category and 7th overall. As you'll note in looking through the team rankings, there are some teams with HUGE numbers of team members there....Luna-Tics are a special group...not the biggest, just lunar! It's all good!

And the battle for king of the meter hill continues between Dan and Wild Bill! Thanks to ALL the rowers who are helping us move forward in the challenge!
