WRC 2009 - Join UK Rowers

Hi all,

This is a brand spanking new team set up by Derek Unsworth which I jumped on board beacuase of the name! In the fine tradition of "doing exactly what it says on the tin" I was after a UK based team and this was (and is) the easiest to find.

Early days so no rules or membership restrictions but a great place to add your metres (notice the spelling!) and redress some of the transatlantic balance.

So sign up and let's see what the UK can do for WRC2009!!! (RIP NARC....now they've dropped the NA, let's show them what we can do!)

Hi all UK rowers!

Just wanted to say what a FANTASTIC job for a brand new team. We ended up with 18 members and finished 26th in the overall team list out of 230 teams but more importantly 4th out of the 77 teams with between 6 and 20 members!! That really is a phenomenal effort for a fledgling team.

Special thanks must go to Derek Unsworth for starting the team in the fist place and also to Keith Goodwin for his top contribution of over half a million metres in one month! (Time to rest those weary bones Keith!)

Equally, thanks to everyone else in the team for every single valuable metre rowed to achieve such a great result.

Here's to the next challenge and bigger and better things for UK Rowers!
