What does your exercise setup look like?
Here is my space. I value my 'just for me' time here. I am a music fanatic, so my entertainment system is set up to play my custom music mixes created with MediaMonkey software. I converted my 60's-90's vinyl to high quality mp3's with my vintage turntable connected to my computer system, and using Polderbits software.
1) CDs - 50's-2000's rock, classical, international, folk
2) laptop with MediaMonkey software; better than ITunes for mp3 playback connected to
3) portable hard drive with most of my music on it connected to
4) Sansui receiver/amp connected to
5) Speakerlab 7's speakers
6) Multiple CD player also connected to amp
7) DVD-VHS player connected to
8) TV, connected to
9) X10 Powermid wireless TV beamer getting signal from living room DVR
10) remote control to change channels and fast forward through commercials
11) glucose tablets, hard candy, water, bandaids, towel, etc
12) inversion table used after rowing and other times for my back problem
13) IPod with self-hypnosis tapes and music for inversion sessions
14) 'Pain Killer' gel seat cover
15) small fan for winter, replaced by big one in summer
16) Schwinn exercise bike for my husband

That's quite a set-up. I wish I had followed through on converting my vinyl to digital, as you have done. Those LP's finally sat too long in the wrong environment.
I don't have a picture to share, but what makes my rowing space special is that the room it is in has attracted various items that the rest of the family enjoy. The room is large and bright to begin with, and the windows look out on the community park. It also contains a piano and a ping-pong table. I thoroughly enjoy rowing while my boys play ping-pong or the piano. There's also a small rocker that catches the breeze from the rower cage. Occasionally, one of us will sit and chat with the one who is rowing (the boys have taken it up, and the wife dabbles now and then).
In the past, I had a treadmill set up in the garage, and it's so nice not to feel like an exile while exercising.

Blaze
We have a marvelous Goodwill in Bellevue where I get my favorite vinyl albums for $1 each. Lots of baby boomers in the area are small-sizing now and giving away their music to this store.
I play-record one side of an album while rowing; leap off the erg, turn over the album, and finish the recording. The software takes out most of the clicks and scratches.
If you can row and socialize at the same time thats great! We don't have any small ones around the house.

You should try a C-Breezeand you'll never go back to a fan. I'll post a photo of my space when I get a chance to take one tomorrow.

Hydration System
Hey ckaiserca! I think it is smart to have liquid refreshments stored in bottles so close to the erg. After a good workout, hydration is key!
