New to rowing and looking for a rowing partner..

Post by magenta3604 » March 1st, 2009, 5:47 pm

Hi,
I'm new to rowing...I have been eyeballing the rowing machine for several years and decided last week to give it a try and now I'm hooked.

I would love to find a virtual rowing partner, who is also new, for motivation and encouragement. I do have about 25 lbs to lose and A LOT of fat to melt off (currently I'm about 34% BF and would like to get to somewhere between 10-16% BF).

Thank you,
Patti :D

Hi Patti..
I would like to invite you to join our virtual team and you will have a team of rowing partners. We are a small team of rowers who have a diverse level of experiences.New rowers and not so new.We have a team room here at the forum where we stop to chat and give each other tips and motivation.I am a personal trainer and love to help anyone who could use a gentle shove  It is admirable that you have chosen rowing and wish to join in to get fit and healthy.
There is a March Madness individual challenge going on for the month of March. That is an excellent way to stay motivated.
On March 15th there will be a WRC2009 Challenge that is a team challenge. You could join my team to row with us ..any meters would be great!!!
Please PM me or add a comment here if this interests you.I am the captain for TEAM TIMBUK2 for the WRC2009 and I am a member of the virtual team TimbukTOO for the season. We would be happy to have you aboard.
Please let me know what you think!!
