March Madness
"5000 meters a day keeps March Madness at bay"

The Details
Choose from two levels of participation:
The Basic Challenge: Row 5,000 meters each day for 25 days or more in March.
The Advanced Challenge: Row 10,000 meters each day for 25 days or more in March.
This is an individual challenge. (You do not need to belong to a team to participate.)
Meters must be entered online.
Only indoor rower meters count (no water meters please).
Who Can Participate
Anyone with an online logbook at concept2.com can participate in this challenge.

Incentives and Rewards
Prize drawings are held every day from all the people who have rowed at least 5,000 meters that day and entered it in their online logbook. The more days you row 5,000 meters, the more you increase your chances of winning!
On randomly selected days during March, we will draw for an additional prize from those who row at least 10,0000m.
Prizes vary from day to day, but will include Concept2 clothing, heart rate monitors, Concept2 drinking glasses and some surprises!
Drawings are held at (or soon after) noon the next weekday following the rowing day, so be sure to enter your meters promptly! We will post names of winners on the web site. Winners will be encouraged to send a photo and brief story to be posted as well. March Madness Winners
Hall of Fame—All those who row at least 5,000 meters at least 25 days during the month of March, will be listed in the March Madness Hall of Fame and will be able to download a specially designed certificate. The March Madness Hall of Fame is typically posted on March 25th.

Time to get ready!!!

For the March Madness, do the 5000 meters need to be in one sitting?

Hi Moodygirl!!

No..you just need to row 5000 meters in one day..you do not need to row in one sitting. For a greater challenge you can try 10,000 meters in a day.Just row your sessions and log them and as they accrue..they will be added to your daily total or just add them as you reach 5000...or 10,000 your choice.have fun!!

Join us for the WRC2009..TEAM TIMBUK2.
There are no pressures to row a given amount..all meters count toward the team and is a fun way to stay motivated.

I am following a weight loss rowing program that I found on concept2.com/uk and every day there are different times to row. Sometimes it is one long session and other times it more with a small rest time in between. I am looking forward to March Madness as motivation. Normally I only work out 5 days a week but in order to meet the challenge I will have to pick up some extra days which I know I can do.

I had a wonderful experience at the Crash-B's! I enjoyed that so much! Since I am a competitive person it was the perfect place for me. You meet so many people from everywhere. I could not believe the times that the rowers could post.

I had the assistance of the co-captain of the BU Crew team. She taught me so much in just a couple of minutes that my time was so much better than I ever expected. I had set my goal pretty high- it was just NOT to BE LAST! I achieved that- so next year it will be much higher.

I've never rowed out doors, but now after speaking with a club there, I am taking my first outdoor rowing class in April/May.

Now I am in a race to beat Mike to the half million mark!!!

Happy rowing everyone!

Kathy B.
It's all Good!
