I don't think the moose that donated the mukluk hide will care. But you may have to ask those Ugg sheep. Could be the Ugg Mukluk challenge. Here is what your Uggs are up against.

Oh, yeah. I wanna be just like Paris Hilton and Kate Moss! (Wouldn't the pair on the right look like you're wearing a brown paper bag on your feet?)

Welcome back Kona2! It's going to be at least a three week watch for me on that 3mm mark. One more day and I'm atta Dodge.

27 - Those brown paper bag mukluks on the right look like they would make good cool season canoe boots. I wonder if they'd keep your feet dry when wading around in shallow water. To heck with fashion and Paris Hilton and Kate Moss. If the boots are functional, who cares!

Wildfires

Post by just27 » February 8th, 2009, 6:57 pm

Looks like many of us are taking a "moment" after the JVC! I know that I am ... I couldn't decide whether to watch "Mamma Mia" and row last night ... or just veg on the couch. Obviously, the couch won. (Why would they cast a bunch of 60 and almost-year olds to play the parts of "mom and friends" and possible dads in that movie? The cast of "Friends" would be a better age for parents of a 20-year old.)

Dave in Australia ... I hope that the wildfires don't blow into NSW. It looks like most of the tragedy is in Victoria. (Friends in the UK are always checking on us when there are fires in Southern California ... even though we're 500 miles to the north.)

Hi Chris,

Appreciate the concern - we have been remarkably safe (and hopefully past the worst of the weather now... four days of back-back 40+deg. heat, and no fires in the (Sydney) Blue Mountains - truly is amazing!).
The horror of what has happened in Victoria is growing, and I expect they will keep finding bodies for weeks to come.
Nature is a cruel mistress at times, however to hear that some fires that were definitely put out by fire crews had been re-lit is just mind blowing...

February has definitely seen a change of pace from me... it is a good thing being part of this team - there is always someone who will notice activity or lack there-of!
Glad to have Kona2 back on deck, and looking forward to the travel diary!

Regards,
Dave
