Model C Vs Model D and noise

Post by Jumpsoda » January 28th, 2009, 6:25 pm

I have a Model C that is out in the garage because of the noise it makes, I don't want to wake everybody in the house up. At the gym they have a Model D and it seems like it does not make as much noise.

Is this just me? Does anybody have a Model D or E in their house and how is the noise? I am thinking of getting one.

At one time I had a Model C and Model D side by side in my house (just bought a D, was selling the C) and the C was noticeably louder. When I erged late at night, my wife said she could hear the D from upstairs with the door closed but it wasn't bad enough to keep her from sleeping, and the sound never woke up my daughter. I think it's kind of a rhythmic white noise that's not too obtrusive unless the hearer is sensitive.
