Hi all,
I have a model C I bought 5-6 years ago which came with the PM2+. Although it serves my purposes just fine, I was looking into upgrading it to a PM3 or PM4, some of the newer features look really nice.
I know all the tech differences between the models (I can look that all up on line). What I am looking for are people who made the upgrade and whether they feel it was worth it or not and why.

Upgrading the PM2+. Is it worth it?

They upgraded 6 rowers in my gym from PM2 to PM3. One other machine has my PM4 mounted on it.
The PM3/PM4s are much easier to use.
They do a better job of recording data (on the LogCard).
They're easier to hook-up to RowPro. Rather than having to fiddle about with getting the RJ45 to 9-pin cable and a RS232 to USB adapter.
You don't lose workout data when you start the second workout before writing down the data from the first. You also don't end up with a scruffy piece of paper covered in sweat and smudged scribbles.
PM4 has all that, plus the wireless connection to my Suunto HR belt.
There are more games (fish game on PM3&4) and wireless racing on the PM4.
Definitely worth it. You can sell your PM2+ on eBay or Craigslist.

I have been wondering the same thing. I have an identical model C2 rower with a PM2+ I wanted to figure out if its worth it. In the mean time I'm up to 130,000 meters! I need a few more than 840k left to getting my million meter sweatshirt..
