Beaming up our teammates: unfortunately this year we cannot beam (although we can all give them a half marathon or full marathon moon !) - even with a functional tricorder! Towards the end of last year's competition, some teams were apparently using meters from folks who didn't even know they were part of the JVC competition. I would rather see this changed to have team members have to opt out of a team competition vs opting in. It would make life easier for those who work with the team lists! Oh well, best not to get to worried about it! It's for fun!

Still in the virtual "sharing" mode from the New Year's party ... AJ just got a stalk of brussel sprouts from the farmers' market ... how many of us like this much-maligned little green veggie? (He hates them ... I'll probably have to eat the whole stalk by myself ... if no-one cares to join me ... trout and sprouts ... mmm.)

Dan, Chris, and Andrea: Nice to have you stop by on Sarah Lake. Just a tip but there's a really nice campsite with a great view ahead at about 63 kilometers. It's on an island in Brent Lake about 2 miles from the west end where it leads into the Darkwater River. No lake trout in the lake for supper there, but I promise there will be walleye frying! The next 5 pictures are at that campsite. There's plenty of room at the campfire!

Chris: I'm not really fond of brussel sprouts, but will eat them if I have to.... I had some for Christmas dinner and they were sauteed with oil and slivered almonds. The almonds made them taste a little better than usual.

Jan: No HM, just rowing and paddling meters added together. As you know it's a rare occasion for a HM from me. When I row its with no breaks, and a HM just doesn't have much going for it as a regular row for me. I'll let you know whenever I actually complete one.
