Ride? Row! Team MOTO wants YOU!

Post by Ducatista » December 22nd, 2008, 2:16 pm

Hey, moto riders!

The January Virtual Team Challenge is a great way to extend that Holiday Challenge momentum. Team MOTO is all signed up for the JVTC, and if you've ever been known to twist a throttle, we want you in our corner! In the words of our illustrious founder, GREGH:

We want anyone who rides or races anything on wheels or tracks. Dirtbikes, quads, Snocross, sportbikes, you name it. Go Big Or Go Home. No Pain, No Podium!

Nicely put. We're not the biggest team on the board, but we're clearly the baddest. B) For instructions on how to sign up, visit C2's JVC info page. Team MOTO is an open-enrollment team, which means you can simply add yourself to our roster.

Note to existing team members: you'll need to indicate in your logbook that you're participating in the JVCT. If you don't, your meters won't count as MOTO meters.

Hope to see you on our members list!

Cheers,
Ann

Fantastic!

Hope we pile on a few more participants... but I'm ready to roll, even if it's just the two of us. B)

JVTC

Post by mkwright » December 26th, 2008, 5:07 pm

I joined Team MOTO for the JVTC.

How does this work? Do we proceed at our usual training pace? Or, do we make a supreme super human effort with each breath?

Usually I log ~~ 14k per day. Is that enought? Do I need to do more?

Peace,
Michael

Welcome aboard!

The JVTC credo is "pile on the meters," so make with the superhuman, please. :D Of course, to me, 14K a day sounds pretty damned superhuman. I'm shooting for 10K/day, and that'll be a reach.

Last year our avg meters per person clocked in at 150,995, so you're way out in front of the curve. Nice!

Cheers,
Ann

Sorry, but you'll have to do without my 500,000 meters this year. My tendonitis is getting better, but I don't want to push it.

Oh well, I like to XC ski and I can do that without aggravating my forearm.

Not sure. Depends on how my training goes. I haven't skied the Birkie in about 5 or 6 years and it wasn't one of my goals this season. The Birkie is not a fun race, if you're not ready for it. I may come up and do the Pre-Birkie and call it good.

Both Amy & I are in again this year for whatever it's worth (shats & giggles at least). :?

Greg - you should post this challenge up on the RiderDown.org board also. Let's get the Pro riders involved here as well. We could use their meters!
KTM 525 & 200 EXC's, Yamaha PW50

Great! :D

I heard from Greg this morning via email. Sounds as if he's planning to spread the word... and anyone and everyone else is welcome to do likewise. Bring the noise!

Hey Guys and Gals!

I'm back!!!

Yes, I am in for rowing for Team MOTO once again. Sadly, my bike is parked until the darned snow melts, so what the heckle ... may as well build some muscle!

Looking forward to rowing with you all once again!
