HAPPY NEW YEAR!
HAPPY NEW YEAR FELLOW LUNA-tics! I haven't started my celebration just yet. (It's 5:43 EST) We usually start with a toast around 7:00 pm our time to coincide with the New Year back home in Ireland. I will definitely be enjoying my hot toddy and we may possibly crack open a bottle of Proseco as well. We will be celebrating at home with our 8 year old daughter, so no driving required. (Yippie! I can enjoy a few cocktails for a change. I'm usually the designated driver.)
I would like to introduce you to my family. My daughter is Sinead and she is 8 years old and in third grade. My hubby is Shaun and he is from Armagh, Co. Armagh, Ireland.

Happy New Year Everyone! On to the JVC tomorrow. (Or today for some of you.)

Mary ... you absolutely have to post a recipe for Milky Way cake, if it's not virtual.marypat wrote:What a great party--my martini is perfect! Hope everyone enjoys the Milky Way cake I brought.
Mary
Kiba ... Grammy's secret recipe for Asteroid Surprise? ... oh, do tell ... is it anything like the "Hitchhiker" recipe?!
Karyn ... great pix! I didn't realize that Belfast has an Eye. (Got to the top of the London Eye last year and decided that I didn't care for it one bit ... you guys don't look like you have any concerns!)
Dan - thx for all the fun posts re entertainment and beverage research. If we have any left-over Champagne tonight, I'll try a Black Velvet for the first time ...
It's now 8:30PM PST, so we're starting the Cioppino at our house. By the time we've made it, scarfed it down, and cleaned up the *** DELETE - SPAM *** ... it'll be time for the count-down. The Champagne is chilled and we're ready for '09. (And, Lilia, I have the 12 grapes ready for each of us!)
Happy-Happy to us, every one. Can we expect to see everyone's Resolutions posted first thing tomorrow ... ?

Thanks Dan for the wonderful drinks + all the goodies brought & served!
Belatedly we brought a simple celery salad: celery root + carrots + apples (equal parts, julienned in the food processor) + mayo (as desired)
Happy rowing thorough the JVC and beyond!
