now to eek out a few more pennies for our charities.

Happy Hannukkah everyone.
Someday, I'd love to get my hands on an old wooden 8, and turn it into a huge menorah - 8 candles plus the cox! only the cox is usually shorter than the rest of the team!

Congratulations Tony! He's reached the TWO million meters in a rowing year mark! And wouldn't you know that he hit that 2,000,000 with his lucky 7,777 meters!

To infinity and beyond! But do stop at the moon first!

Just27,

Put me down for keg of Spotted Cow from New Glarus brewery in Wisconsin. Arrangements for entertainment and a caterer are coming along nicely. There have been several applicants for both duties, but selectiion should be completed on schedule.

Kona2 - There's a one hour workout rowing on the Concept2 in the morning @ 14,837 meters. And then there's a half hour evening paddle @ 4,915 meters. It will be a safe bet that any daily total above 14,900 meters will be paddle adapter meters for time being.

Good guess on the coffee for me, but since it is winter, I will alternate between pumpkin pie breve's and peppermint mochas.

Hey, where's everyone's avatars gone to? Are you all out getting your hair done for the end of year party?

Holiday Challenge meters are probably still coming in for the next 24 hours. It appears that we're going to come in 5th - the Ancients may have eclipsed us on the last day of the challenge. The Luna-Tics rowed 7,702,903 m during the last 28 days! Amazing! I'll do a recap of the challenge - with some individual recognitions - tomorrow. There were some great individual contributions as different rowers pursued their goals!

Season meters as of 240/365 = 42,394,522 m

Total meters on the day = 231,046 m

Oars in the water = 23 percent

MILESTONES:

5.1 MM Will S
600K Jan
400K Tom R

Full Marathon Image Mike C

ONE Million Meter Watch:

Angelo with (55,854 m) to go! Any extra meters?

And thanks to the Christmas lunar crew:
Image

Mike C 42,195 m
William H 32,313 m
Will S 20,070 m
Chris 27,155 m
Tim 14,316 m
Kenneth G 14,053 m
Dan 12,258 m (December 25 '08!) Good job!
Ted 12,000 m
Mary 11,043 m
Jan 10,000 m
Gina 9,768 m
Tony 8,888 m (very lucky all those 8s)
Peter G 8,000 m
Tom R 5,514 m
Andrea 3,473 m

Congratulations, Luna-Tics! We made it through the Holiday Challenge! Have a marvelous day!
