Hey, harley1! Hope I didn't chase you away. You'll find quite a mix of street and offroad moto types on this site. There's even a Team MOTO.

When I entered my first HC row this year, I discovered that I really had logged 0 meters for the season. Gak. I missed the first three days of the challenge, which put me at an 8K/day range to hit 200K. That's a lot for my totally deconditioned ass. And then I got roped into a holiday party on Weds and missed that day, so I had to row 16K last night. Not so much fun for my 4th row in over 7 months. Mission accomplished, though, with no apparent ill effects.

Hit 90K last night, which is on track for the 8k/day I set myself up for by starting three days late. In previous challenges I've banked meters so I could take days off here and there, but this time around I'm going for numbing consistency. I'd love to settle into a comfortable, 6k/day junk-meter groove for the new year, so this is good prep.

I'm at 167k, just getting caught up again after missing 4 consecutive days due to an ice storm and the resulting power outage. I know, I know, the erg shouldn't require electricity, but my PM2 is broken, which means I need to run Ergmonitor through a computer, OR go to the gym, and the gym remained closed until the after the utility had restrung the wires.

But all is well now, and I can almost see the finish line :)

Here's to that! 177K for me today, so I know I'll make it. I skipped yesterday, so that meant another 90-minute session (94, actually) this morning. Aching butt, clean conscience. B)

I just edged over 200,000m today, making it with a couple of days to spare. B)

Nice, harley1! Now that you're done with one challenge, why not keep rolling? We'd love to have you on Team MOTO (click) for the January Virtual Team Challenge. The team has always been heavily weighted toward those crazy motocross types, so we could definitely use another roadie to balance things out.

Hi, Rick! Great to hear you're in for the 200K - might we see you at CRASH-B this year? We hear New England is in the deep feeze - keep erging! & keep warm.
I finished this morning, too - a wimpy 11K while my son did 2X30 min with his team at the morning practice. Hope to get some more $$$ for the Nature Conservancy in the next couple days.

Hi Mary, CRASH-Bs are on the schedule as usual. See you there!

It's 7 degrees F outside this morning, and 45 degrees in the unheated Erging Room. Unfortunately this morning is scheduled to be a jogging morning outside.

If you've any reason to be back east here on January 18th stop in Newburyport for our 6th annual erg race.

I'm up to $6.81 now and plan on two more workouts before the deadline.

Rick

Do a FM and add $1.68.

I did over 43K yesterday for $1.73 extra on my total. I'm paying for it with a painful tail.
