Half Marathons, Temps in The Single Digits

Post by Kona2 » December 15th, 2008, 9:51 pm

 I don't know what came over me....but there I was .... getting ready to row.....and I selected 21,097.

As to how to see the team HRC standings, like the holiday challenge meters that are on our team page, these standings are listed on the far right column of the university standings..go to University/Club Standings in your logbook (fourth selection down), and you'll be directed to the right page. We're sixth by about 40 meters!

Tim P - Congratulations on the million meter mark for the season!
We were suspensefully wondering if you'd be able to make that goal on your next row (snicker)! Way to Row!
And that mile high rowing has to be worth 2 million flat land meters....

Mile C - Classy and decisive way to attain the HC Honor Board. Congrats on the HM.

Kona2 - Great rowing effort! Rowing a HM isn't exactly a piece of cake. You Row, Kona2!

Has anyone else noticed they row stronger under the influence of very high barometric pressure??? Our pressure the last 24 hours has been about 30.5 (enough to drive my thermometer down to minus 27.8 this morning - without wind chill.) Or maybe I've just been rowing stronger the last couple rows while under the influence.....

Congrats and a big hooyah to this whole team ... talk about an activated group! There are so many postings and annotations going on that I'm missing stuff ...
Image
... maybe we should plan another virtual party ... Karyn and I are already considering the possibilities, which must span a few time zones. (Dan, do you fancy being in charge of organizing the adult beverages? And, Jan, the very intriguing "pepper nuts" for anyone who can find sorghum? I recall that Princess Anais decorates a fabulous cake ... )

Wouldn't that be a 'rowed' trip? :? And um, yes to the adult beverages, make mine a Black Velvet. :P

On another note, it should be noted that this board has passed the 60K view mark!
