All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 10.31.08

Post by Kona2 » November 1st, 2008, 11:39 am

Hope all had a fun Halloween! I can't find the Skeleton Crew Honor Board this morning, but I believe we had 15 crew members on the board when I looked yesterday afternoon! In true stats fashion I did indeed count how many trick or treaters came to the door! I had 39 trick or treaters, with the greatest number arriving between 7 and 7:30 PM.

Season meters as of 185/365 = 30,130,718 m

Total meters on the day = 101,841 m

Oars in the water = 15 percent

MILESTONES:

searching....searching

FOUR Million Meter Watch:

Will S with (52,545 m) to go! Almost to the red zone (red zone = < 50K to goal)

ONE Million Meter Watch: this is a close "race!"

Ted with (13,195 m) to go!

Rodrigo with (19,331 m) to go!

And thanks to the Halloween Eve crew and all those who posted pumpkin pictures or pumpkin art!:

Will S 20,019 m
Rodrigo 19,241 m
Darryl 14,527 m
William H 12,300 m
Mary 10,093 m
Tony 7,777 m
Steven 7,148 m
Jan 5,723 m
Barbara 5,015 m (you're doing great!)

The number of trick or treaters has been dwindling in recent years ... we only had 13 last night (not counting a neighbor and her black Lab, who knocked on the door to see if Goldie could come out for a walk ... ), which means we must consume all those leftover Snickers bars. (Hey, you don't buy Scharffen Berger to hand out on Halloween! For all you dark chocolate lovers: http://www.scharffenberger.com/)

They should have left the pumpkin butt up there for "inspiration" to keep rowing (and dancing and walking and dieting etc)!!!

Now if only the dogs understood daylight savings time ended.....we're supposed to zzzzz an extra hour...

Season meters as of 186/365 = 30,281,820 m

Oars in the water = 25 percent

MILESTONES....Bragging Rights and Celebrations!

Steven 10,000 m
Ted 10,000 m
Tony 7,778 m (1,355,555 yesterday....and 1,363,333 today....I think I see a pattern here....you can keep generating 7,777 or 7,778 daily meters and get a multiple repeating number also on your total meters for at least a couple more times....very clever!)
Tom R 6,019 m
Barbara 5,032 m
Peter G 5,000 m
Debbie V 4,500 m
Jane 4,002 m (yay! wondered how you were doing on injured reserve!?)
Orion 1,010 m (there's a pattern here too.....Tony has his favorite 7777s, and Chris has her just27s.....could Orion be choosing 1010s ?)

I did not realize this had happened until I read today's daily report.

It's just one of those number things that I noticed - either way, it's a cool thing to get all the repeaters! :D

We are having just too much fun here! Great job everyone on the recent spooky rowing challenge. Counting down for the Holiday Challenge now. I'll be back on the rower for that! Foot seems to be mending.

Belated congratulations to
Dan C for 3M!
Peter G for 1M!
all pumpkin carvings and other submissions!

(I even see Chris' ;))

I am off the boat taking care of what looks like an extended viral infection. So my hopes for 1M before the Holiday Challenge start are gone, especially with an upcoming 1 1/2 week trip... Looking forward to the HC :)!

Happy rowing!

Andrea
