TEAM TIMBUK2..PROPS to you!!!

We are in 5th place among all the teams..and this is not a challenge to rank teams..but a challenge to rank ourselves according to goals that we have set for ourselves.

We as a team have so far( 12 ) 100,000 meter rowers
(8) 200,000 meter rowers and (3) 300,000 meter achievers.
Very respectable numbers.

55 members out of the 93 who we have on board rowed their best for the challenge.
With the life challenges we have each day..it is remarkable at the number of meters rowed this last month.

Spirit, Strength and Support are what we are made of..TEAM TIMBUK2!!!

An honor to row in this virtual boat!!

I could list all the great accomplishments over the past month here but you all know how well you did and what goals you were able to set and meet.I hope that I was able to acknowledge each major milestone and help to motivate you to keep on rowing each day despite the hectic schedules that we all have. I had a brief stint on the disabled list and perhaps over did to meet my goals and was a few meters shy of what I set out to do.
TEAM TIMBUK2 is by far the most spirited and "together" team I have ever rowed with as a virtual erger. We are quiet and from many other season venues. But we hang together in a way that is so admirable.
Thank you so much for all the support and tremendous efforts.
I look forward to the next challenge and no matter how many meters you choose to row..you are still an integral part of a very special team!!!

Thanks, Pat, for being such an inspiration throughout the challenge!

A special thank you, too, to all of those who joined the team for the fall challenge. It was fun to be ranked so high! We hope you will stay on or join us once again for future challenges!!

I rowed following the debate, but then took a break (mistake!). I don't know where the time went, but suddenly it was midnight, so I'm just shy of my 300,000 goal. However, all is not lost. When I checked my daily average, it was above 7500, somewhere I never imagined being this late in the season. The meters I rowed during the fall challenge got me there!

The weather has remained cooler here since our first hard freeze last weekend, but it's looking warm enough that we're going to try some fishing after work tonight. We haven't been up to the lake for a couple of weeks, so we're really looking forward to it!

Tommy Lasorda
The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a person's determination

The Challenge is over but we must continue to set goals and continue to challenge ourselves.Doesn't have to be monumental..just on a personal level.

Hakeem Olajuwon
I've always felt it was not up to anyone else to make me give my best.

Even small steps can make your best..better.

Gordie Howe
You find that you have peace of mind and can enjoy yourself, get more sleep, rest when you know that it was a one hundred percent effort that you gave - win or lose.

So row strong and no matter what you do..just enjoy the ride!!

Come back anytime, Glenn! And don't forget about your personal goals for the Holiday Challenge coming up soon!

Aargh! Fishing was terrible last night. We tried many spots around the reservoir but the terrible wind that appeared late in the afternoon thwarted our every move. At the last spot, I had a trout but it thrashed itself free just shy of the shore! We'll try again on Saturday but never again in wind that produces white caps on the water! Too frustrating!
